What are the chances of co-op story mode?

Single player Story mode and online multiplayer are obviously radically different, but everyone enjoys a bit of LAN action but IN THE STORY...

Its time that best buds can LAN it up together through the whole story.
Image the whole of crysis with your buddy backing you up... or VEGAS???

How **** is VEGAS on co-op???...
its basically Terrorrist hunt... and has the hovering ugly green logos above your LAN mates head. fail.

Such epic games only need go that extra mile to make it ledgendary, when you dont have to tell you buddies about a whole town you took down. You did it together!!! YEEEEE!!

Not sure if you're being sincere or not.
You're wrong about Vegas though, it's the best CO-OP FPS on the 360 in my opinion. You get to play through all the single players missions co-operatively, not just terrorist hunt.

I'm not interested in playing through the entire game on my own so no CO-OP, no buy.

I don't think it will happen, for technical reasons. This game was never designed with cooperative in mind or with the possibility of coop in mind; it would be two difficult to shoehorn such a feature in this late in the process. Most cooperatively enabled games you see nowdays started off development of the entire singple player campaign with coop in mind, thus allowing for the possibility of such a game mode accommodated by the level design.

Plus, consider the fact that Far Cry 2 is already a state-of-the-art, high-end game that will push your system to the limit, and you'll see why it would be hard to make an additional layer of CPU process, for the coop, work.

I swear to god if I see one more of these threads I will kill myself. The game is almost done if this isnt in it already it wont be, deal with it.

This is the official forum for the game and as such this CO-OP question has not been answered.

Hopefully, the answer will be given soon regarding CO-OP at release or via a patch at a later stage.

Until an answer is given, the question remains, will there be CO-OP?

I dont really care for coop, and even if it was in the game it would have to be in split screen, or maybe online, but why do coop when there is MP?

CO-OP System Link is my preference.

It's a good laugh playing through the campaign with your friends as opposed to playing on your own.

I guess it all depends what your personal preference is. Mine is to enjoy games with my mates, sociable gaming if you like.

I would like Co-op but it would probably be technically difficult to pull off.

They already said it can't be done as of now, cause the whole game has its own eco/weather system, and they will have syncronisation problems with co-op.

they can stilly pull off splitscreen coop as a possibility
