Wow really great stuff! Some nice info there. The Dunia system has even more dynamic stuff built in then I initially expected!

An english translation of the item on Tomshardware can be found HERE. The translation is not 100% accurate but I think it gets quite close.

Wow, thanks. FC2 truly is dynamic, unlike other games which claim to be dynamic.

How is FC2 gonna manage all of what's happening and growing in the world? Magic? Cool!

Did anyone else notice the Jeep license Ubisoft got their hands on. Looks like we'll be seeing some licensed vehicles in the game. And wow, you can even see the individual cells on the leaves!

May I ask why the only footage/images we are getting are from either leaked, low-quality footage or from non-English sites?

If it is out there anyway, I am not sure why Ubi does not place it on the Dev Blog or on the main Far Cry 2 site (I mean, some of the images look like official, Ubi-provided ones). It makes no sense to me. There must be a logical reason. I mean, we are only three or so months away from possible launch. Post the demo in HD or these engine demos or at least larger versions of these images. Ubi must be gearing for a much larger PR/demo splash or something. The original posts from the developers explaining the engine/game were great because they were high-quality and you could really see/hear their excitement.

Thanks for the post though, Kimi. Does look truly amazing and further heightens the anticipation.

Did everyone see the dynamic fog in the weather demo? The sound of the wind? I mean, when we start seeing high-quality clips of this stuff, people will be blown away.

We have not seen rain yet, but with the varying mud pics of the Jeep and mentions of rain, it looks like it is almost certain. That will really be ridiculous if it looks as good as these other effects. Talk about a dramatic leap forward in gaming if they can pull this all off with no bugs.

I'd also like to know the answer to this.

With regards to the tree regeneration video, either the hand gun is firing tank shells, or the physics applied to the tree branches being shot off are completely over the top and not realistic.

In all my time of shooting tree branches off in the back garden, I have never seen them somersault!

The rest looks amazing though.

I just turned up my speakers and the sound seems like it will be one of FC2's strong points (just like pretty much everything else). The wind sounds very true and not just some prolonged 'wooooooooo'.

I LOVE the wind in this game and the way it moves vegetation and blowing up trees with grenades looks absolutely stunning.

Yeah would be nice to get some more direct English info. Perhaps given to the FC 2 fansites. I know of 2 or 3 good ones Big Grin.

Other then that I'm happy with any info. It is still somewhat rare but as the producers said they dont want to waist budget one making all kind of videos.

I agree that I would rather have them spend their time and money on the game, but it is just odd because the images on that site must have been official Ubi delivered images. So, why not post them on the blog or on their main site?

Anyway, I will not complain anymore. It must be just the anticipation getting to me. I would imagine we will be swimming in new info about a month before launch.

Ice-T...yeah, they do jump off that tree in a hurry. But, they have said you can shoot the trees down to the individual leaf, so I assuming there is the right balance. In one of the demos, he used the big gun on the vehicle and it seemed more realistic. Only time I saw flying branches was when he used the grenade.

Woah I just looked back to the pictures not the already unbelievable videos. This ''advanced indirect lighting'' allows to simulate something really similar to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_illumination global illumination.

God damn that's really impressive, I wasn't so impressed by these shots but now that I realised this small detail, I am fully astonished and can't wait to see more of the lighting in DUNIA engine. Because many tech-happy-gamerz like me begin to really wish games could have smarter lighting systems into them.

The German market of retail PC games is very similar that the USA market in volumen . In Germany about the 50 % /60 % in the last years of the retail market - is for the PC . End of off topic Wink

I doubt that... 80m people vs 300+ ?

I just looked up UbiSoft H1 06/07 report from google... US and Canada alone = the same sales as all of Europe.

In PC ? The Germany PC market has 2 or 3 times more % of the market than the PC in the USA market . Sure is the second market for this game . What is the problem ? You have the videos in french , and sure in english in internet now. Tom,s hardware have one english edition Wink

Very nice videos

With this system of the time they might do scenes similar to Koyaanisqatsi, for example to simulate the passage of time when the protagonist is casualty , and he needs several weeks to recover. More inmersive that the healing system of any game Wink . Is my suggestion for the healing system of the game Big Grin .

Hey I was wondering if the weather in the game would effect your gear for example, If you are doing a mission in a Storm and you have to listen into a conversation by using an intersecting transmitter ,would the transmitter malufunction due to weather conditions or what?
Also having your weapon jammed due to the weather or terrain would be a cool feature.
