Eh, well I've been playing a little more and recently I noticed that M-79's grenades seem to have a greater blast radius than the RPG-7's rockets. This mostly comes from a couple incidents.
The first incident, was an experience with the RPG-7; I fired at an enemy out in the open with no cover at all, but missed by a couple feet to the right. He didn't die despite the rocket landing right next to him. The rocket exploded in a short of mushroom shape cloud right next to him, but he was still standing.
However, I recently bought a M-79 Thumper and was testing it out on some patrol vehicles. One time, I wasn't paying attention and a patrol got too close before I could notice. I panicked, and fired a bad shot almost the full width of the Assault Truck in front of it. My first thought was "Dangit, miss, aim again". A split second later, the grenade impacts the ground with a huge splash, and the truck flies into the air.
So these are my questions: -Is the blast radius of grenades larger than those of rockets? -If so, what makes the rocket preferable to grenades?
Well, sometimes it seems like the rockets have a radius of about 1 inch during multiplayer, whenever you hit right next to someone and they don't even die. And neither can destroy a car half the time. But generally I think the enemies don't see the grenades and run into them, whereas they can see the rockets coming at them and dodge it, in Single Player at least.
i dont really play SP, but in MP, all explosives are underpowered now.... only time i really use them is when i feel liek going for manuals. mgl take liek 3 to kill, m79 take 2 or more, rpg 1 or 2... havent used carl g in long time cant say
