Ya, Far Cry would have been way better if the whole game was like the first mission.

Well I might as well have explanation for that: When first time I heard that FarCry2 will have nothing to do with original FarCry (other then killing mercs, as u might argue), basically I said' Deleted, do not circumvent the language filter... this, I don't care about this game anymore.
I mean, just because there are fans who don't like they way FarCry2 is going, doesn't mean devs will change everything. I came to this forum simply to make sure if this game really doesn't have much to do with original FarCry. It doesn't, and there is nothing that can change that. I will end up not playing this game, same as many other disappointing people like myself.
So no wonder only people you see around FarCry2 are the ones who like the change, because here is nothing to do for people who doesn't like it.

i really wantjack carver to in it a countinue of farcry instickt predator like he is in africa and the mad scientist have been doing **** to animals and people and it got out of hand and its spreading to the world or some thing i really loved to have feral powers on 360 i was pwning with it :P and i hope it comes for consules i am wondering to buy a new computer if it comes with feral powers
When I first heard about far cry 2 being realistic with no scientist or anything I was dissapointed, but now that I've seen gamelay footage of it. It starts to look very good and I'm almost happy that it doesn't have mutants :P. I was just thinking that whenever it comes out I can have the freedom to go anywhere and do missions myself with my own style like drive in and start shooting or my favourite way to wait till night and knife backstab them all. I hope the dev team doesn't change the story to anything and keeps it non-linear open world style. I would like to see lions, but I know there won't be any. In the end the game looks great and I hope happy holidays for dev team.
I rather liked the tinge of sci-fi elements from previous Far Cry games. That was part of what was unique about the Far Cry brand, is that something was a little weird going on.
I liked the Trigen, I just felt they overdid it a bit. Stories that are completely based in reality are boring and mundane to me.

that sounds all very good. but the neverending war of FARCRY is and was the multiplayer-assault over internet. thats why the game always life. what you mean about that, will be repeat something with FC 2 ?

i agree that the weather changing to how you are doing in the game isn't a great idea. I would love to have the unpredictable weather, but instead if i want it to rain i have to get pwned? make it random, it would change the strategy of not being able to use fire sometimes... idk i just think it would be awesome with random weather.
It was announced that there would be a simultaneous (dont know how to spell it, sry. it means at the same time) release at sometime soon. On gamestop it is oct 1.
I've seen some of the info about minimal and recommended specs, but would love to have a bit of a clue on how far it would bring us graphically. I haven't been able to see any vids or screenshots that show comparisons of such. And how far will my Q9450 with GTX280 and 8GB Dominators get me? High Setting I hope?
