Hopefully they fix it before a big outlash starts like it did with Bioshock.
@staticks, I sort of agree, but cover the red with your arms, that looks like the camera is not in the eyes of the character, but out hovering in front of him. It gives me a headache just looking at it.
Ah that answers while when driving i was constantly staring up into the sky in annoyance, and constantly looking for a holster weapon button. Thought the FOV felt screwed. Thanks Ubi... now we await Racer_s and his brilliant expertise at making hacks to fix this problem.
Edit: just to add. I am very disappointed in the widescreen implementation. Especially nowadays that widescreen is very popular.
Anywho, despite this, and despite the DRM, i will purchase the game.
Thanks for posting about this concern PaddyWak. I'll pass this on first thing tomorrow and let you know if I hear anything back about the matter. Sorry for any frustration it causes in the mean time.

Had i known this before hand I would not have bought this game.
Dealing with DRM silliness is one thing, this just takes the crap cake.
Developers: it's WIDEscreen, not CROPPEDscreen.
I find it really hard to understand how anyone can get this wrong, especially developers.. Even years ago before this widescreen thing was popular even I knew what it meant, and i'm just some guy.
I guess the devs still watch shows on their black and white 4:3 Televisions and never watch movies, or play properly made games.
If there was an option to alter FOV, that'd be fine.
If i could see a console command that altered it, that'd be okay, too.
You took my money, and waht i get in return is DRM fun, less game screen, and a console that's next to useless.
I'll be sure to encourage my friends to pirate this.
On the bright side, the game rusn rpetty well and it looks like it'll be a lot of fun, once a widescreen fix comes out.
Very very let down, Ubisoft. I got ripped off.
PS - the copy protection already been cracked. Good going.
