hello there kind folks, i was wondering if there would be any mutants in the new farcry 2 game..
i watched one of the demo videos and the guy seemed to think that there would be no mutants.

im very very concerned about this, worried sick in fact, becuase the mutant levels in farcry were my favourite!!
does anyone know for sure if there will be mutants in far cry 2?..


i refuse to buy this game if my mutant friends are missing lol

On this forum we have a zero tolerance policy for abusive posting or flaming as it is know.
New people to the forum are warned, with repeat offenses resulting in suspensions.

Those that have already had the forum rules clearly explained to them receive no such additional warning.

As you noted, the indication at this point is that there will be no mutants in FC2.
That of course is subject to change, but for now at least it looks like u will be dissapointed.

well thats very sad if the mutants have gone, very sad, Far Cry 2 for me has already lost a bit of appeal sadly, but
I'm sure it will be a fantastic game regardless.. But a far cry without mutants?? i just cant believe it!

whether the lab is still operating is unknown, but the lab itself is only reachable by river or so
the Topographic survey says!.. Besides, covert is the word, we wont be going in there guns blazing
thats for sure.

also which is rather more concerning and lending even more evidence that this <alfa one> site is
actually functional, there have been strange reports by locals in the surrounding areas of unnatural
happenings! people missing that sort of thing!

yep i would ^^ but mostly becouse im not so keen on horror, i like tactical shooters, all out shooters (some times) gta style shooters etc etc. but not horror shooters.

if we have peacefull alien/mutant creatures, and alien/mutant carnivors roaming around like real animals, then cool, no problem, but having them like in the old game, nah id prefer not.
also im much more to open terrain then to small compact spaces. which with the open terrain FC2 promises suits me fine.
that doesnt mean though that i didnt play and complet FC1, but i think ill like FC2 better.

Africa's got enough wilderness there could be all sorts of weird 5h1t (unknown life forms) tucked away in unexplored valleys. Dinosaurs, Venusians,etc. they could even rip off Crysis with a colony of mutant aliens with the go-go-gadget legs.
In a free roam game you can justify anything as a side mission.
White Gold is going to have giant bugs and ride-able sharks tucked away as a side mission on some little island. I bet everyone who buys the game even if they hate mutants will go and have a look.
A bunch of Fatboys with the rockets, how much coding is that going to take!

those mutant levels i didnt like at all
i always played the beginning of farcry until i got to mutants

No Mutants for me! I prefer to deal with human opponents and/or recognisable animals.

I had to cheat my way through the mutant levels in FC...and even THAT was hard going. *shivers*

I may try Crysis, but only when the price has dropped, as I'll only play half the game cos I will have to give up at the alien bits, I expect.

Keep the Mutants out of FC2 please.

I have played the 360 version of FarCry and I don't Want Mutants to be in the single player mode, but if you could be a predator in multiplayer mode than thats fine since I loved playing the Predator Game Type mode. But It would be cool in singleplayer if their are lions or some predator stalking you and your enemies, that would be nice to see your enemies getting ripped into shredds.

Mutants??
I hate mutant's in the FPS..
I want real human enemies..

Well you will enjoy fighting the N. Koreans soldiers in Crysis should you get the game. They are extremely accurate in their shots....too accrate even on the easiest level and the Delta level is insane. They can take you out with one shot were you seem to need to unload a clip to kill them sometimes. Btw, expect to get 15-25fps unless you have a real highend system.

As far as mutants go....I can take them or leave them so long as the main flavor of the game is as great as the origninal. FarCry has a perminant place on harddrive and still rates as my favorite game...I'm expecting Farycry2 to be as good or better!!
