The story of my life...

I went to the church to meet the black dude to get some medicine for the malaria!

and once the dude told me that i have to go to Northwest of Pala for the medicine, i left right away without make'n him finish "i dont like to hear some side talks...sue me!".

so i went to this FAR AWAY place which is called "Pala" to that dude! and he said that i need to give him some sort of papers/books!

so i thought i would find those books/papers while i'm doing my missions!

after 16% of the game, i die because i have no medicine left! and i didnt find any books lol

so the game it self took my back to the church!

now i had to listen to the dude all the way to the end! and here u go! he has the books!!

now that i had the books! i went back to PALA!

and here is the problem!

once i get closer to the "HOUSE" where is the dude who i should take the medicine from, the game start to get slow! i mean REALY slow! and thats for just about 3 sec and everything gets back to normal.

now, after i kill all the men around the "HOUSE", i go to the door and IT WONT OPEN!

i tried everything! i dont know what to do! i cant go on with the game since i dont have the medicine and i keep dieing and the game keeps taking me back to the church! which is realy FAR from the northwest of pala!

is there any UBISoft ppl here!

should i start all over!

please advice..i cant go on with the game!

it means its not safe. there are most likly guards, probobaly wounded or hiding, that you didnt kill.

nope, thats not the case
there are 5 men only, and i killed them all.. and once i did that the warrning music stops! which means its safe now

well somtimes theres still one or two more guys that have actualy fled the battle and are far away. this happend to me maybe five times before but with a safe house. you can either try and hunt them down, restart the mission, or go away and give the place a chance to spawn enemies agin and start over.

NO EVERYBODY WAS KILLED
I have the same bug, and I overkilled everybody at least ten times burnt the whole area etc...

Even worse, on first try I can get into the house. There is 4 person sitting in a small backroom but I can't interact with them. I can only interact with the bed to sleep. Which means no pills, impossible to finish mission.

Many people have these bugs and this is what I posted on the fan forums:

1 - I can enter the safe house on first try, there are 4 persons sitting on the floor in the small room. But I can't interact with them to get the pills. All I can do inside the house is sleep. No pills

2 - If I enter the house, nothing to do. Then get out and die from malaria and come back to the house, the door won't open after I kill everyone.

Playing on PS3, I tried every advice given:
1 - I tried the mission again at least 10 times.
2 - I overkilled all the bad guys, burned the area etc.
3 - Tried 1 shot 1 kill weapons like grenades, also knife machine gun, sniper etc...
4 - Tried going away and come back, enemy respawn but no pills.

At this point I don't feel like trying again until this issue is patched/resolved.
I assume there should be a NPC in the main room of the safe house or in front of the house, but he isn't showing up.

Patch/Cheats Wishlist:
1 - Resolve this NPC malaria pills bug
2 - Remove Blur filters that kicks in on almost every action (very annoying)
3 - Remove Malaria
4 - Adjust weapons damage, 2 shotgun shells at point blank and the guy still shooting like nothing happenned, same with 1 clip of machine gun. They should go down with this amount of firepower.

they solved the problem, there was a 28MB update for PAS3 lastnight. now everything is smoth and clear..my progress is 50% now.
by the way, try to get all the stones & do all the side mission b4 u do the finial main mission..because u cant get back once u r out of there..at least thats what happened to me

OK great will try it, this was a fast patch considering how stubborn they were at telling me this was a gameplay feature and I needed to seek tips, hints and advice on forums...

Yeah I'm geting this too, have no idea what to do, my progress is being messed up with this Malaria bug (literally) haha

This is probably NOt a bug...I had the same issue: killed 4 guys and the door will not open!

Try this...after you kill the first 4 guys get in the jeep that is parked by the house, drive anti clockwise around the little hill behind the house. As you approach the house 4 more guys will be there...kill them and the door will open.

PS: I say use the jeep becuase if you leave it these guys will use it against you...you can also walk around the hill if you want.

You may have fixed it but, it tells you when you unlock an underground location. Just because people are too stupid to figure out whats happening, doesnt mean you should have followed. Dont blame everything as a bug.

ok you hafta walk all the way around the house once you kill everyone and it will say "underground safe house unlocked" then go back to the front door and the guy will say something and walk to the right of him and hand the papers to the family and you got meds!

Ihave all the updates for FAR CRY 2 PC, and walked around the house untill the boots wore out, NO ONE AT THE DOOR!!! NOBOY IS ANSWERING!!!

What the heck am I doing wrong, I kill about 7 ppl including the 2on the jeep. What the hell do I do to get into the UNDERTAKER's house so I can get my meds????

Listen to Father Maliya at the Church and wait for him to give you the travel documents.

Travel to the Underground location, and make sure everyone is death, and that it tells you you've unlocked the underground location. Go inside, and the guy right in front of you will tell you to see the people "in the back".

Turn around, and you'll see the door you entered. To your left should be a room closed off to the side. Inside, several people will be sitting on the floor. Once will speak to you and give you the pills for the documents. Happy days!


If you can't get inside... I suggest making sure everyones dead.

I have read the posts here and elsewhere, they all say the same thing.... Fine, I killed everybody not twice but three times....
Walked around the Undertakers house twice, then jumprdd around the house twice and to top it off, because it's so much fun to be denied access for two weeks now, I walked around the house in the croutching position!!!!!!
Now, I hope you all understood, I did what everybody else has done!!!! Yet, I still can't get in. Could it be a PC version problem? I have the 2 patches installed.
How long do I have to walk around the house in real time, 5 mins - 10 mins or do I walk around once, leave him standing by the buggy, and go food shopping?

Hello, I've gone through this same problem too in FC2 PC version and got this resolved by this workaround,

hope this works for you and this is exactly what i did,

The underground house did not open after killing all the guards, i just took that buggy and went down on the bushes, there was a sniper tower, went up there and kept sniping some dumb guys on the other side,just strayed around until i died of Malaria,

This took me to the church and got the mission from the Priest, i didn't go to underground house again, i went to APR head quarters and got a mission, completed the mission and came back to underground place (undertakers's) killed all the guards and finally i got the message - underground house or some crap unlocked blah blah blah, went in spoke to that grave digger and got the medicines from those guys on the next room,

The key point here is there was only 1 pill in that box that he gave,

The work around that worked for me

Die of malaria
Game takes u to church
Accept mission from priest
Get to APR or UFL and get a mission
complete that mission and then come back to underground house in a vehicle all the way till the house enterence

Hey Thanks for the info!! Tried it 3 times a day since you posted it, nope, nada, didn't work. I'm going to trti it again a few more times.
If I can't get in, then UBI can kiss my ASI. I won't buy anything from them again. They always have problems with the gemes. I don't need to waste my money on garbage just to get aggrevated, I can go work and be paid to get aggrevated.

Hello Byte Guy, i would really suggest that there is nothing great towards the progression of Game except to travel half your life and do some junk missions,I got annoyed now cause of Malaria again and getting to find some Medicine !!! getting bored day by day even though i am not doing any other missions other than the main ones, and the Malaria mission as you are forced to do

I feel i would rather go and play HL2 another time for its streamlined story line and great game physics,

From reading posts about problems since FC2 came out, the only conjecture I can come up with is that one needs lots of patience to avoid programming snafus. For instance, when returning to Mike's after a buddy quest, I wait patiently for the buddy to respond, then for the mission completed message to appear, then for the reputation increased message. It takes several seconds for all of this to take place on the PS3, but I've been lucky enough to never have had a mission problem in 8 plays through the game. However, as I mentioned, this is simply conjecture, and I have no idea if it is reality.

That's what my problem is about...
That guy isn't there, only the people crouching in the room.
I've killed all enemies, got the message and went into the house...
but inside there was no man standing in front of me...
It's at the undergroundhouse at the mountain in the top right of the map...
I think this is what half of the people here have as problem too, they get in but there is no one to interact.
I've got the Pc Version, just for information.
Do U think the trick with dieing from malaria and make another quest would work here too?

Did you get the travel documents from the Priest first? If you did, and you got the unlocked message @ the underground house, then there should be a guy just inside the door who directs you to the people in the back room.

if this isnt happening, then the only thing i can suggest is loading an earlier save, and trying again.
