How about everyone just plays what they enjoy and dont worry about what other people are doing. I like consoles and PC's and its funny that everyone stereotypes eachother. Its all pretty ridiculous when you think about it, "Well consoles are for little kids who dont understand requirements or buying parts", "Well PC gamers are nerds who have to much free time"
I mean, say something like that out loud and you see how ridiculous it sounds. Cant we all just get along and enjoy games together?   |

No I would love for farcry 2 to be for the 360. I am a big fan of farcry and I wont buy it unless its for the 360 and it works great on xbox live.

I would be really mad if Farcry 2 only went to PC. My PC couldn't even start the game if the computer was 100% dedicated to just the loading screen.
Haveing it for Console would be awsome, just because i could have the enjoyment of playing it on my PS3. Don't see why people say they don't want it going to consoles, it's not like they are loosing anything anyway. |

Well said Schizam. There is no point in being concerned that FC2 is coming to the consoles. Check out the "Dev Video Blog: PC & Console Details" video again. Even though Far Cry 2 is coming out on the 360 and PS3, it is a PC lead title. We all are going to get to enjoy this amazing game so be patient. |

This may be a little off topic, but since a lot of PC users are posting in here I thought I would give it a try. Far Cry 2 looks like an impressive game from what I've seen so far. However, I like many others, are extremely skeptical of what has become know as the "hype machine" behind every new game release from Ubisoft. Since this game is being developed for multiply platforms my concern that this game will be another straight port from the 360 and end up being horribly optimized for the PC in order to save time/money. I have a really great higher end desktop gaming PC and would be really ****ed if this game ended up chugging on my rig while 360 user get consistent frame rates. So, my questions what measures are Ubisoft doing in order give me some assurances that the PC version will be fully optimized for the PC platform and not just rushed out the door to meet a release date. Thanks in advance for your replies.

the only thing that is p*** me off is that they say that the game has not been pushed back due to the fact that it will be released on consoles as well but they also said that they want the console users as well as the pc users to get the same game experience and the same team that's working on the pc version is working on the console version.... so how has this not affected the pc version????
(less people are working on the pc version so it has been affected by the console versions) |

I don't understand the greedy people who would only want a game on their system. If you really believe the game is great, why is it wrong for more people to experience it?

They need to recoup their loses and make a profit, and at the same time show off the game to a larger audience. Some of you people are just weird. a weird post, i must admit. if your rig is a mid-high end rig than even the poorest port should run well on your machine. what was the last poor port u remember, man? every port from the consoles in the past year has been a better game on the PC with better graphics and usually better controls. even poor games like Turok or Blacksite area 51 are better on the PC. where have YOU been living? if your rig is a pentium D with 1GB ram and a 7600 it's time to upgrade and stop complaining. on second hand if you are trying to run gears of war on 1900X1200 with AA and everything on than maybe u should hold yourself back a little and lower the rez. on topic - FC2 was firstly developed for the PC and only about a year ago they started porting it to the consoles once they realized its possible. its not a console port. it's a PC port. second - its damn obvious that the PC version will look better if your rig is stronger than a console, so just just your hardware for more info. third - i have no doubt that the PC version is being delayed "thanks" to the console version, but im still happy its coming to the consoles too. i dont own a console myself but if UBI can make more money out of this game that way and if we still get the FC2 they promise us than i am happy. maybe this will mean we will eventually get FC3 as well. |
