They have both Console games and PC games, and you can see some of the matches they have had on the show on their website.
If you compare people playing a shooter on a console, to a PC, its plain to see its not right, and that is why console shooters are known as 'noobish', because when you look at it, everyone aims slow, moves slow, looks around like theyre drunk and struggling to keep their footing.

You know, you just proved that you are just as bad as the person you quoted. Everbody has their reasons for playing on their platform. There are idiots on both ends of the spectrum. People always complain that their platform is being attacked, but turn around and bash somebody elses platform. "Console kid" is just as bad as "PC nerd" and vise-versa. Frankly, I think if you bash a platform, you should fully expect to get yours bashed.

I'm not saying consoles should suffer. They should have the best game their system can handle. I hate the idea of EXCLUSIVE anything. Yes, I totally understand the reason behind having a exclusive title to support a particular platform but its stupied and selfish imo. I'd love to play a great PC version of Mass Attack and I'm willing to bet those with consoles would love to play the best version of Crysis.

I didn't disrepect console players but there are opinions and there are facts. So the statement below is wrong and too funny...

ok people, i have a pc and a 360. I use my pc a lot more but i still find consoles fun. I really don't know why you people are getting so wound up over a game being released on other platforms but hopefully this will help you people:
Console people - your getting far cry 2
PC users - your getting all the amazing special effects and weather and will have MUCH better performance etc than console users even though they wont have as many features due to things like dx10, and pc having more powerful hardware

Since there is commonality in the information being released UBI want to keep it in one place for now.
Seperate forums will be available closer to the games launch.

That means that for the time being PC and Console users are going to have to play nice together on this forum or lose the right to post.

Anymore "PC Nerd" or "Console kiddie" talk, or similar trolling, will see the thread locked and the offender suspended.

More than fair and reasonable. Just for the record I am a PC ____ and not offended.

I feel for any platform that locked out of the opportunity to play any game. My only issue is when people hide behind & use " their opinions" inorder to post incorrect facts.

Ubi didn't port the Xbox only FC games to PC because they didn't think it'd be worth the cost - they do this for money, you know. I don't want to say that PC users should shoulder "blame," or that Ubi should, of course. Right now the consoles are pretty great - good capabilities at a record price. I just got a new laptop and it struggles (for various reasons) to run older Source games at a good frame rate. The Xbox 360 provides an easy way to play games, and that's the basic people why people play - not to mess around with tech support, but to have fun with their games...

That said, the PC side is going to keep getting worse for Ubi if they don't provide patches in a timely fashion. The main Cry-engine games have been pretty stable, but this game doesn't seem to be using the Cry engine and some of their dev houses have had a hard time putting out stable products for PC users (Arkane, GRiN, and others, for example).

I surely won't buy it if it's a PORT!

BTW other far cry games came out for the consoles so then why stop there and not make Far Cry 2 for the consoles

they all sucked except for ultraball which was the best thing ever to be made for any game fullstop

Well The FarCry For the PC was much more supierior than any other FarCry for the Wii, Xbox or 360, the only feature that xbox and 360 onwers could brag about was the Predator mode which I loved, Besides that FarCry for PC had much more features like Assualt, Way better Sandbox Along with the feature that it could actualy be hacked or special content could be downloaded for it on Mod sites. Consoles DEFINATELY have more children on it. As you said, you dont want to go through the nitty gritty of PC Specifications, and most KIDS don't want to either. I'm not one for making judgements, but right here, I'd say you are a kid. Personally I'm glad people like you stay on the consoles, it keeps the PC air free and clean, but when consoles affect PCs, I AM pissed off.

Take half life episode 1 and episode 2. BOTH of these titles suffered a dumbed down gameplay. Alright it was a cheap price yeah, alright it was more of an expansion, but the gameplay was bogus. I then realised it was a CONSOLE PORT. Half Life episode 2 has NPCs helping out the player. This (my guess) is to help the console gamers that move the stick slowly.

Really guys, get serious, we're not saying PC is more fun, we're saying it's more mature and has more potential. It is the most flexible medium out there. It DESERVES your console respect because it is the censored MOTHER OF ALL CONSOLES. She gave birth to your little black box and don't you dare deny it. She also gave birth to little games you put in the box. Don't cringe from the imagery please, but when you call me a 'Nerd' then I have every right to call you what I want to call you.

EDIT: PS. installing patches is hardly technical. Double clicking on an icon too difficult for you? Ofcourse you console gamers like to have everything served right up to you in a silver platter.

last i knew affordable computing came in 1982 with the zx speccy as anything earlier was below the visuals of the atari even the speccy was not that far in front

UBI policy is that until closer to launch we will have a common forum...
