I dont believe anyone at the event who is on this forum played on the PS3 version as there was only 1 available, compared to 8 XBOX 360's and 4 PC's.

I only briefly glanced over now and then at PS3 and it looked good, though I honestly couldnt compare to it to the XBOX.

Can you remove water completely on the editor so like you can make a deep crater or hole with no water or would you have to make the map a giant and tall mesa with a hole in the middle to keep it above water level in the editor?

How was the voice acting of the characters in the game, was it as emotionless and fast as the trailers show or is it more like gta4 where all of the voice acting was A+? I figured that if it was so fast it was because the developers want to keep you moving.

Is there a limit to how high you can make mountains in the editor?

Can you have just grass or do you have to have trees and bushes. Cuz it would be cool to have a grassy plain with no trees or bushes?

Can you individually place trees and bushes in the editor to make like a super dense jungle of super lag? Twisted

If you place a house on a hillside in the editor will it automatically level that section of hill to make an area for the house or is that manually done?

How much can you erode a hill? It there a limit or does it just keep eroding and eroding and eroding in the editor?

Lastly, when you run through plants and bushes on the 360 version or when you shoot the the big leaved plants that don't break do they move?

Im not 100% sure on this, but I think the vehicles only have one speed, which is the same thumb stick as 'walk forward', saying that I could have just been too retarded to realise there was a 'boost' feature lol.

Initial thread updated with Part 3 of Tamers interview with Patrick.

No I dont mean boost like obviously u need acceleration to move and u dont move at the same speed the hole time right? And that sucks if its only thumbsticks it was hard to control in instintcs predator.

The devs once said it would be acceleration on the right and brake on the left trigger. With that control scheme in mind it's pretty obvious why you cannot shoot while driving. Analog stick steering wasn't all impossible but rather awkward in FCIP and so it was in Half-Life².

Using the triggers would make more sense, as I said I could be wrong - lets hope so Smile

Im not going to stick this in the initial thread just yet as Im not 100% sure of the answer, but didnt want you to think your question went unnoticed Smile

Whilst bullets can penetrate certain objects, I dont believe (or rather cant remember) that they leave holes in walls.

With regards to buildings, again Im not sure if they allow partial destruction or if they are scripted to blow up ala Rambo. The buildings I remember blowing up in my stint on FC2 were either taken down with a rocket launcher or exploding barrels (so I'd assume pretty much full destruction with those objects).

Im not sure if you can take out a structure by destroying its supports (ie: watch towers) or if its just a case of "it will either fully blow up or not".

No one pwns the Ice Smile ...I died voluntarliy - honest Shady

Im not sure what you mean by the area darkening, are you on about the weather system, or tunnel vision?

I hope it isnt like battlefield bad company like destruction its fun dont get me wrong but im looking for stuff that will acctually fall and not just leave a hole or disapear which i hate.

Wait. How is there no splitscreen in MP? That isn't right. If there isn't, then there is no point to make maps for people who have only XBOX 360 and don't have Xbox Live. This can't be true. It just seems not right.

Im afraid I dont have BF:BC so cant give a comparison Rilliden.

With regards to MP splitscreen - or lack of, the game does support LAN play as well as internet play, though your mate(s) will have to bring their own consoles around to your house to play.

Does the game support private servers so you can play with friends only?

I think you have the option to set a password for a server.

We are looking at the game for our gaming community; Tactical Gaming, and wanted to make sure that it has the ability to host private servers for gamebattles, etc.

If it can, then we are good to go. I know it has been an option in the past, but I have not seen anything about clan support or public/private servers on any of the news.

Thanks brother for the reply. Good stuff.

Will the game really support binaural stereo in headphone mode? If so, I'll definitely leave my hi-fi system turned off and play with headphones only.

Vehicles, so far on show I have only seen the new vehicles, are there any of the old ones still in the game like the ATV or Jetski (obviously the Glider is)

I did see a picture from the single player game which looked like an army style transport truck with people in the back, not sure if it's a playable vehicle.

Also I hear that these vehicles in multiplayer have 2 or 3 skins, is this right?

One article a while back said 14 vehicles with up to 40 variants, whatever that meant.

Weapons
So no placing weapons, maybe it's not such a bad idea - A lot of people have made some really cool maps but a few too many P90's or 50.cals had ruined the map - so these Weapon Cache things seem like a decent idea.

Can anyone say how they work though?
Do they come equiped with just ammo for every class of player or do they actually have weapons in them. As an example - I get that one more diamond which lets me upgrade to a new weapon, can this be done in game or at a character equipment screen.

Copy/Paste
Did you see a paste function in the editor, if you make some custom structure from other brushes/items can you copy and paste another one somewhere else on the map?

Collision Detection
Can you merge pieces into others or is there collision detection between pieces/items? (again I am thinking of custom bases and stuff)

The ammo crates only allow you to restock ammo for the weapons you have. One of the cool things about them though is that you can blow them up and it will fire bullets everywhere - and if you get hit by one it will take some health off you (cool if an enemy is near one).

You can change your class and upgrade weapons in game - but I think you can only do it whilst your dead and waiting to respawn - I could be wrong though, you may be able to do so whilst alive.

I dont believe the editor supports this. I think if you build a custom object (ie: Eiffel tower) you can save it in the map and then use that map as a base for any maps you want to feature the object, but you cant copy/paste the object into another map.

Cheers for answering those - By the Copy/Paste function I was more meaning a base at both ends, but rather then spending more time trying to make them both identical/symmetrical - a copy of one base and paste at the other end of the map would make things a whole lot faster, easier.

If it isn't there it's fair enough.
It seems like the editor is geared up for speed - with random terrain generating and trees and plants auto deleting when you build a road through them - things for new comers to the game have never been so good.

Thanks again for taking the time to answer those, the ammo crates thing sounds really cool as it sounds like they could draw players in to re-stock but at the same time if you can blow them up the game could become a lot more tactical in their placement and use.

T-Bag,

Was the private server option available only on the PC version or on the consoles also?

Just want to see if having a private room with your buddies is possible.

We played MP on the XBOX 360 DBLDeathDealer, so my comments are based on that platform.

We never got to play MP on the PC/PS3, but I would assume the options are almost identical between the PC and the consoles.

What options can you set in the multiplayer games?

Can you set number of lives, health, weapons, diamond placement, start positions for individual players?

And can you make waterfalls in the game?
