signed, I really enjoyed aussault in far cry1 i wouldnt mind if they added it as DLC.

You know it's funny they have this forum along with tons of support from the FC community and they want to keep out assault mode? That's what made the orig game and keep it alive for all these years! Being a business owner you have to make decisions all the time to improve your product or sell more etc. and this is a bad decision!

You would think if anyone over at UBI had any maketing skill they would have announced that FC2 will ship with classic multi including assault and what ever other mode they thought would work. The community would be jacked and the buzz would be tremendous! I would have paid 100 bucks for the game instead the word is speading that there will be no assault and the game is already dieing!

How are you going to have scrims and leagues with FFA/TDM and VIP? not going to happen. Maybe they never played assault mode? Plus how hard can it be to put 3 flags in a multi mode? sad really.

Luger was right you could play Airstrip, Jungle, Mangoriver & EU Castle all day long and the tatics would change all the time, there has been nothing like it since.

I may be wrong, but i suspect its because the consoles cant support it, hence they left it out...

biiiiigggggg mistake... if it doesn't have assault Farcry 2 is gona end up on the shelf gathering dust like BF2 COD4 and Crysis !

Lets hope, fingers crossed that:

• The VIP mode is summit great
  
• They introduce assault in a patch,if the VIP mode sucks
  

I played assault for well over 18 months everyday, if its not in Farcry 2 Ubisoft should have called the game something else !

Exceptionally valid point On PC, leagues are not going to happen with TDM or VIP. you may as well kiss the PC long term sales goodbye without a viable multiplayer league mode.

We're skruuuud either way... If they toss together an assault mod it will be buggy as all h311 because it was rushed out...So besides my sig (which I have there CuZ somebody threatened my life) I've given up on the hope.

and i never even considered it myself....

if there isnt a decent option to play league then no league or clan will play this game fulltime...it will become a game which u take off the shelf every now and again and then put it back cos all your friends are playing something else which allows tactical team play...

sad really i was really looking forward to this game like i did for crysis....i never bought crysis in the end!

if the reason for no assault is because of the consoles....thats a pretty lame excuse....when FC came out there was a pc version and a console version...now if the pc players have to change their game play because of consoles...Ubi may aswell just make conole games and dont waist the pc gamers time!!

I wont be preordering this game and will not buy it now unless i can hear from PC GAMERS i trust that it is worth it!

I can't believe there is no assault.
Not going to buy this unless it makes an appearance. How can Ubi seriously expect to market this to PC gamers. Have they not done any homework and looked at the amount of players globally playing assault ladders across many PC games.

I wonder if anybody at UBI reads this at all (apart from Kimi that is) and seriously understands what will be the impact for future UBI releases to this faithfull community
Personally I don't give a **** about the console games, but if that may be the reason for not having an assault mode in the pc version than it'll be Sales -4, at least I wait just like Porky until it is confirmed that it's worth buying from the trusties in the community.
Anyway Crysis + Obsidian Edge2 will be that bomb if they release sumthing similar as assault

Hopefully, we'll hear more about MP soon

There has been no information besides a one liner from Ubi on MP in general and definitely no acknowledgement of the Assault question whatsoever.. Actually there has not been anyone giving the forums answers on most of the questions poised. There has been the blogs but those are staged and while a step forward they don't really shed any light on the major questions that have been asked numerous times so far. They have been used mostly as a controlled PR outlet to hype the game and keep everyone's attention.

I have also pre-ordered the game, and im now going to cancel it, until ubisoft tells us, or someone who has received there version of the game has/has not got assault mode. I don't want to waste more money on a game that's going to gather dust,Assault mode is and always will be the ultimate MP experience, period...

So any response from UBI yet regarding assault ?

Probably nothing, leaving Assault out of multiplayer ..which is just fine by me, cause that makes FC2 a "wait with buy till it drops to bargain price"-product, which in turn relates to more time to play obsidian edge 2 once that's live...

Do you have a link to some scrrenshots of OE and Crysis, i have Crysis, played in mainly SP and the dam thing kept crashing, it played MP just fine, but again i didn't like the MP "buy weapons crap"

so un-installed it because of no assault mode.

Hope Assault mode will be in FC2 though

The mod team has been silent to public for some time.. but i believe & hope(!) that is just cause they are using their precious time to polish their OE2-jewel () (after all they are the Polishing Weevils Mod Team )
