Just wondering though. Given the huge size of the map in Farcry 2 would it be possible for Assault mode to work like it does in the original Farcry? I suppose they would have to create dedicated assault mod maps. I'm hoping they will but maybe they have even more interesting/innovative ideas when it comes to multiplayer. I'm hoping that you will be able to play a team based game with like 100 players a side on the single player map. That would be truly epic in my opinion even though it might be hard to get that many people to play on a single server. Still like you guys have said, assault mode should definately be an inclusion for Farcry 2

Even if they had said yes before.... we all just learned that not every UBI statement withstands the test of time....

Crysis sucks I want my money back! Hey if UBI blows it with no assault mode the game will flounder just like Crysis. The only good tatical games out are BF2/2142 and COD4 they are great squad based assault/CTF multi's. Our servers are always full! we won't get a Crysis server, heck we still play FC twice a month with some old clan friends hoping that FC2 will be killer don't blow it UBI. Thx W]M[D Draino

I never played MP in FarCry online, but I checked out some of the maps (sadly I don't remember much). With a name like "Assault" it sounds promising, though!

enough with the gh3yn3ss.... just let us know what the mp modes will be so the players who want assault can decide to stay or go... its obviously already set in stone... nobody NOBODY developes mp modes in the last 3 months b3fore release.. I want to know now so I can move along on my merry way without getting jerked around....

Crysis sucks big style, im having to do with Call Of Duty 4 at the moment, i have just signed this petition for assault mods as i cant believe they would think it wise NOT to include it, in my opinion its what made Far cry so special.

Its what made our clan anyway, all the team talk the strategy of how to Assault a flag player positions... Dam the amount of hours i played Assault in far cry must be obsured...

erm, what is assault mode? how did it work? what did you have to do? ect...

Basicly it can be described as a hold the flag gamemode.

One team is attacking, the other defending. There are 3 flags in a map and the attacking team has to try to take them one by one. Only one flag can be captured at the same time which really focusses the action. At halftime teams switch sides.
