I dont think this will help you, but I suffered from the same thing, until I figured out that my username (JoeyBIack) is written With a major I(i), not with small l(L) ... In my defense, it's an old account... Wish you all the best of luck getting the game to work online.
If you cannot find servers, install the patch (if you havent)

My cd key isn't working for online play either lol .
Username and pass etc have existed for years , so no probs there , as they are normal characters .
Typed in online key a million different ways , but no luck .

Presumably you have also tried entering any hyphens, and also only using the numeric keypad for numbers? or was it not using the key pad...? Try both

No worries bud . Not sure if the guys are playing online much anyway , so not the end of world . Can't remember ever having such a pathetic game problem as this though . UBI need to give themselves a proper kick up the back side .

i want to make an online account but when Im creating one it says: username or password is invalid.

IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!

and when i start freaking out and clicking on create it says: account locked for 15. min.!!

so can anybody help me please

Your username must be lukevdbraber and your password must be the same password as you use for this forum .
As for getting the key to work , I can't help you , as mine doesn't work either , and with the exception of Cuz , who unfortunately didn't have the solution , it appears that nobody else from Ubi gives a damn about our little problem .

Hey guys after reading and rereading this forum and not being able to solve the problem. I cam to a conclusion that may solve it for you as it did me. When you open the game look for what ver. of the game you are running if it is 1.01 go to the patch download section on ubi's site and download 1.02 then it will let you connect to the server and create an account.

What a bunch of bull****. I just so happen to have a numeric keypad on this laptop but it doesn't change anything. I've tried everything. By the way, does everybody's keycode begin with FC2-....?? Maybe thats whats wrong?

Ok, I downloaded the 1.02 patch, installed it, went into the game, typed in my ubi user and password, and typed in my cd key (using shift for all letters, using "-"'s, and using the numeric pad for numbers. If your keyboard is being a **** hole maybe try the on screen keyboard? PS: mine works now

i have the same probplem too, and i only bought farcry 2 because i want to play it online ( well i still want to play offline but not as much) so could mod please help me or us ( who has the same problem ).

I think we are in the same predicament. I created an online account but when I go onto FAR CRY 2, and enter the info on the place where it says, it asks for an account code. Are you supposed to fill this in or do you just fill out the username and password? PLEASE REPLY! I am dying to play FAR CRY 2

This is bull **** far cry 2 is the worst online shhoter, i bought it for the online game and i can;t play it becouse of the ***EDIT*** bugs. bad game Ubi !

Same, Whenever I try to make one, it asks for CD key, I put in the CORRECT ONE and it says incorrect code

what is this CD key ???? is it the install keycode??

I got exactly the same problem..
I made an account at ubi.com like it says in far cry 2 when im trying to make an online account.
When it says its succesfully made i try to log in at far cry 2 in game.
And it says: Wrong username or Password. :S
Can someone pls help us?
There is no problem with the Online key at all.
