Same problem here: Already tired of single player with its respawning bots at each check post I decided to take this game online to hunt some real humans: again disappointment. Upon creation of online account it's First Far Cry Ubi Server not available, then check input data. Location: Vietnam

When it says the far cry 2 server is unavailable it means what it says, its just unavailable, and battousai is right the online key is the cd key and seems to be case sensitive. I had the same problems but it works now

Aye.......I got this game for the PC, dissapointed to find out its cross platform nulled down crap, as usual......i was expecting a little more. PC only games are far better, however, I'm sacking off single player console mode, for some console like multiplayer goodness.
But when i go to create a profile, it wants a online key, or some such nonsense. I've tried entering my cd key, but the box wont accept "-" or numbers. So i'm at a loss as to what i'm supposed to enter in this box.
Any suggestions? And NO! the cd key will not be valid in this box, tried a fair few times.
Cmon Ubi, u used to be good, i dont blame you for selling out to multi platform-ness, its just the fashion nowadays. Perhaps one day you, and others, will make PC only games again.......the kind of games that made console owners jealous. But in the meantime......i would like to at least try Farcry 2 Multiplayer out before i slate it completely.
Anyone have any valid suggestions? In the meantime i shall try to discover my noobishness, and see where i'm going wrong here.

Alright, 5 minutes later, and i have discovered my noobishness
Right, "Online key"
After making your username, and password for UBI.com etc, go to your multiplayer option.
Enter your username and Password.
For your online CD key....Just enter your CD key.
DO NOT USE CAPS LOCK! Use shift for your capitals, numbers will work as usual, and will the "-" key.
DO NOT USE CAPS LOCK! and u shud then be problem free.
(Ps.....Cross platform games are a insult to PC users, you end up creating sub par games.....also......after 5 minutes of brainstorming, how come i'm answering my own question, and others, rather than you Ubisoft and your customer support team?)
Better pick up the baton fast or you'll enter the latest list of companies from which to not buy games from........i wont name them, but if you play PC games and MMO's.....you'll know yourself of whom i speak.
Hope this helps with online cd probs guys......see yas online.

OKAY!!! I HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM, if you have already made an ubi account go to the ubi account and edit your password, make it anything aslong as there are NO! capitals and symbols like "!@#$%^&*()" in it. Numbers WILL! work. for example: lamepassword1234. then go to far cry, create online account. type in the same username and password as your UBI account, then type in your CDkey into onlinekey. make sure it is type exactly how it is read, example :XX2-XXXX-XX45-XXX6-98XX. hope everyone is helped. thanks for the lack of info UBI and the odd technical support. the one time the guy can speak english and he doesnt know what to do
