The last community Q&A that we did is live! Now that it's complete, we'd like to kickoff another call for questions.

We secured some time during E3 to do a community interview for you. We'll pick some of your questions and get them answered during E3 next week. As with last time, questions concerning both the map editor and multiplayer are still not on the table yet. Deadline to submit your question is Monday, July 14th, 12:01 a.m. EST so be sure to get your question in ASAP!

Hi everyone.

Here is my question.
Some of the videos seen of Far Cry 2 look very explosive but the main character seems to move a lot slower then in previous Far Cry games, I understand there is the run button but is the general pace of the game more relaxed away from the arcade style of the previous Far Cry games?

If so this could be the reason why it is getting more compared with the Call Of Duty games, which could bring in a whole new crowd.

The Player speed seems to be somewhere between Halo which is slow and Far Cry which is fast.

So here is my questions:

1) Would be player able use melee attack ( by weapons gunstock, wrench, stick, hammer (lol) etc ) ?

2) Would be possible make it your ingame nickname coloured same like in original Far Cry?

3) Its possible to swim in game or you drown when enter deep watter?

Okay, I'll bite.

How much does the natural environment affect gameplay? For instance, when it rains, does it affect the roads, and make it more difficult to drive?

I've also read that while there will be animals in the game, you won't have to worry about being attacked by lions, elephants, etc. Personally I think this would add a bit of random excitement to the game, but be that as it may. Will the animals merely be window dressing, or will they come into play as well? For instance, say you're driving down a narrow road, is there any chance your road could be blocked by a herd of water buffalo? How will the NPC animals react to your (or to AI) presence?

What other things can you strap bombs to other than vehicles and can you put one on the glider? trees? or how about a water buffalo?

1). Can you "cook' grenades?

2). Can grenades, molotavs, & etc be thrown from the glider?

3). Since there was alot of emphasis on headshots in FC1 and since in FC2 character damage & healing is registered depending upon the affected injury area through cinematics, how big of roll will head shots play?

I'm guessing there aren't any healing cinemtics for pulling bullets from your face/head/forehead in the way broken teeth can be removed, correct?

4). Any pistol or uzi double weilding.

5). Any traps in the game? (tree, pit, & etc).

6). How much aim assist can we expect? And will there be an option to turn aim assist down or off altogether?

7). With vehicle damage in the game will it be possible to shoot out tires or get flat tires?

Now i know there will not be different types of munitions for each caliber, I want to know one more thing:

Can you make you ammo? As zulu_598 said, to "cook" grenades would be an exiting add for all you have already promised.

But, I think that an aim assist would not be a good thing, because it might be used for making cheats like aimbot, by amplifying the assist of the aim... After that, I have no idea of what an aim assist is made, but, my imagination is rising up^^

My only question other than a release date is about the movements in Far Cry 2.

-Will there be a prone? I can hear the collective crys of snipers in multiplayer already.

-Can we lean around corners?

-In a older build of FC2 the slide-to-cover (with legs in view) was mentioned. Has this feature been scrapped?

I know you guys are really busy going into next week's E3 event so thankyou for taking time to answer the fan questions.

Here's my question:
In the previous game, the multiplayer was especially unique due to the Predator multiplayer mode. Please tell me that this excellent mode will be returning for Far Cry 2's multiplayer.

I think that Far Cry is the best game ever made but, there are a few features that are very annoying.

Like in the T.S. series
I always wished that you could put A.I. bots on player created maps.
We should have the choice of what weapon to start players off with in the map editor.
We should be able to have 1 player respawn point instead of the minimum of 8.
We should be able to have 1 take over zone instead of the minimum of 3.
And like in G.R.A.W., amongst other games
We shouldn’t have to stay at the zone once engaged.

Is it possible to finish the game without killing or knocking out anyone? (except for the main boss)

Will there be any sort of athletic moves in the game? (like say climbing trees, pipes etc)

1. If you want to use a silencer and go stealth, how do you add the silencer to the weapon if it's not already on? Will it be a weapon customize menu like in Crysis, do you have to find a weapon with a silencer attacher or what?

2. I think I have seen ost of the gameplay videos and such out there, and I have noticed aren't there any crosshair?

3. I know that you can destroy wooden buildings, but how about buildings with stone? I hope they also will be destroyable especially with explosives and rocket launchers etc.

4. Will there be real time reflections in scopes? On images from FC2 you can see there's a refleciton in the scope, but is it real time like in the original Far Cry or pre-rendered like in CSS/COD4? I really loved the scope reflections in Far Cry since they were real time, so I hope these will be too.

And how dificult is it to be stealthy because in some you guys try to be stealthy and ALWAYS get seen... even in some cases it seems really unrealistic

I going to simply repost my questions from infarcry.com and add an two extra since there is no question limit. Wink

1. Is the map one big square or is it more rectangle shaped?

2. We know the original Far Cry Multiplayer modes will be back. What new MP modes will we see for this game?

3. Will we be able to buy and use camouflage in the game?

4. Will the consoles have an auto-aim option?

5. Will the player be able to go prone to hide and snipe like in the original Far Cry? Recently read an article from Gameshark about not being able to do this in the game. Confused
