i cant get online on farcry2 at all keeps saying cannot find server an on the ps3 the server is faulty or down alot plus i cannot host a map not even the default maps like last bastion im on virgin internet 2mb but were getting the 10mb in the next few days im not sure if theres a problem with the ps3 setup or my isp or its your game but i can play online but i cant host games i have spent £70 buying both the pc an ps3 versions i only bought the pc aswell to play online an i cant i spent 4 days making an amazing map on the ps3 but i cant host it please someone help do i need to change the internet settings on the ps3? why do i get the no server found on the pc ?
If this was something rarely, I wouldn't mind. But I have to say that your servers are f*cked up. I like to play Far Cry 2 Multiplayer very much, and I play it everyday a couple of hours, but every day again the servers are down. Yesterday it was like 7 times or something. Today it's already for hours, and what will it be tomorrow? Buy some good servers in stead of the crap u have now please.
I was kicked 4 times yesterday in 4 hours, 4 pm to 8 pm EST USA. Server came back on each time in about 10 minutes. Wouldnt be so bad if your XP didnt reset every time on player match after a FAIL. Please fix this crash problem UBI.
So far I haven't had an issue connecting to the server, but I have to say we have all been experiencing a tremendous amount of lag. I'd go into detail, but I think playing a match of Halo might put any queries to rest. It's almost too frustrating to bear; the choppy movements, scattering bullets, and invicible GI-Joes. Someone made a very good point earlier though, the game is a lot of fun and hopefully the team recognizes that, but when the gamer walks away from the console flustered, they're not going to be devoted for very long. It's not just the server too, there are still technical issues that require some fixing. Some weapon re-balancing would help a bit also.
I have had this game since January '09. I have been experiencing the same thing every MP game. Even if im in a game or searching for a game. ''Your account has been disconnected from the Far Cry 2 server.'' And only gives me the option of pressing OK(X). Then I press OK and takes me back to the Far Cry 2 Main Menu. Please does anyone know anything about this. I really want to know something about this problem. Thanks. PSNllie43
Any word on this issue? I am tired of playing a whole match online and to find out at the end that my "account has been disconected from the server". It's really frustrating when the next match is loading and I get disconected. I've heard many complaints from friends, as well, about this issue. I just hope more ppl would come in here and talk about this. I play on PS3.
I wrote a MASSIVE email to the supposed support team and was directed to various links saying they are aware blah blah and server downtime for maintenance etc... but still can only play or host 1 ranked match at a time and have to be prepared for my statistics to be lost at every disconnection - they say they care but I'm not feeling the love! Field manuals are a nightmare to get up and I hate having to start over again all the time! - as well as losing revives. Respond to us or at least be honest and say it can't be fixed and I can play someting else. Or don't bother trying to make multiplayer games when you can not support them properly.
Yes, it's a shame the server is like this. FC2 is an awesome game. It seems like Ubi wasn't expecting this title to be so popular and didn't do their homework right on the MP part. I play other titles online and never had a fraction of the issues I have with FC2. It is a shame, indeed.
FC2 popular? Nobody I know who was looking forward to this game is still playing it after these issues weren't solved in January. A shame... really a shame. I wonder why there even are people playing it these days... because I can't even connect to just one online session. I just tried it again today (the game was laying on my shelve for several months now)...
Really, I would like to play it. I got it for the multiplayer, because the concept seems nice... with the map editor. One simply doesn't profit much of it if he/she can't play the maps created with it.
I won't write anything new about the problems I have with the game. Constant disconnections and frequent loss of experience as well as field manuals stats (especially when one is trying to upgrade such weapons as flare gun or get multi kills with granade launcher) is aggravating. At this point playing the game in my situation is totally pointless unless UbiSoft does something. If it doesn't one thing will be sure, I won't buy any new game they release.
Ever since day one we get kicked off the server in online games,im one of your biggest fans but its rough when your workin your way up the leaderboard and its not saving your games.We play for hours and hours it would be nice to have all my stats saved.But thanks for a cool game anyway.
FC2 has a ton of potential to be a popular multiplayer game, so I really hope they're serious about fixing the issues with the game.
I'm having the same issues like everybody else, and yes, it's really frustrating. I'm only writing just to add my name to the group of loyal players that sit and wait for this game to be fixed. Because why would ubi fix the problem if there's nobody left to play the game...
So here's to this post, and the others, that say otherwise.
Also it seems like I can only play one match a week. Like seriously, no joke. I play one match and then have to wait a whole week before I can play online again; of course that only allows me to play one match before I have to repeat the process again.
Ok, I'm still sick of the latency. It was pretty good for about a month and a half, but now it's getting umbearable once more. To spell it out for you guys, bullets fly through players. I don't know what it is, or how it's supposed to be fixed... but I would really appreciate it if you guys could kill the issue.
