I'm playing through FarCry 2 for the second time, and I'm trying to make the game harder for myself. I'm giving myself challenges like;
- Playing on Infamous
- Playing with lamer weapons
- trying to get every weapon to jam
- constantly provoking Pala fights
- trying to preserve the same vehicle for most of the game

Anyways, I got the second mission to take out the crooked police chief in his motorcade, and my buddy wants me to get some book so he'll stay at the station. So I thought, why not do Both!?

I took out the armed vehicles, then surgically sniped the two people in the front seat of the SUV (this took a few times to pull off without them driving off the bridge) I then stole the SUV. I drove the SUV to Shwanana and did the Book retrieval mission. As soon as you get the item, the SUV is gone! At first I forgot where I parked it; but then I redid the last couple minutes and even drove the SUV up to the house and blew it up. Even the wreckage vanishes. Funny!

Love the game. One thing I wish I could do to make it harder was only carry only a pistol, but dropping weapons is impossible. Walking around with no ammo just isn't the same.

What would be some other hard challenges?

I just thought I should point out that if you keep using a weapon, not only will it start jamming but it will eventually explode. If you do this you can empty the primary and special slots.

Good point there.

You can also use the Weapon Crates to store each type of weapon inside them. But first you need to purchase these crates (Primary, Secondary, and Special). After that store the weapons which you don't want to carry, inside the empty crates.

You can always pick them back at any safehouse. This sounds similar to carrying only 1 weapon at a time. You can place both the primary and special weapons inside the empty crates, and go for a mission with just a Pistol. It depends on what kind of fun, challenge and realism you are looking for. Leave the Secondary crate empty.

Also note that, if you buy/unlock new weapons as the game progresses, and if the Crate is Full, then in this case you won't be able to place the new weapons inside the crate. You can only swap them. So now grab only 1 weapon at a time from the armory (Primary, Secondary, or Special), and swap it if you want. Or just place the current weapon i.e. Pistol, back into the empty crate, and pick up an UZI or Silenced Makarov if you wish. But next time you will have to swap them. So this way you will always have only 1 weapon at your disposal. But please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I have the crates. Leaving them empty would have rocked.

Now I must explode every weapon! (except maybe the grenade launcher, its jamming kills me every time)
