what kind of places would you want far cry 3 to be located at?


my thought is the opposite of farcry 2 and say somewhere snowy and cold.

far cry 3? lol you're thinking way too ahead, how about concentrating on far cry 2 until it's out, both fans and devs rly... lol

FarCry3 will take place in Rochdale in the UK. The storyline will evolve around Barry, a disgruntled postman who is addicted to the 2p slot machines in Blackpool Arcades.

Having got in debt with a work colleague for a sum of £4.50 to feed his 2pence slot machine addiction, Barry must go out seek revenge on the slot machine makers - who just happen to be located in Rochdale *que 'du du duuuuuurrrr' suspense sound bite*

like the other posters. FC2 isn't released yet and your already talking about FC 3...

I like Russia but like cinek said COD4 and Battlefield have already done it. And don't forget Stalker and it's sequel! You should check it out it also has open gameplay.

Another setting that could work is a fictinal South-American country, but that has been done by Boiling point and will be done in the sequel White gold. (These two are also free roaming games)

So I would go with a Asian setting, think of Burma, Sri Lanka or the Phillipines. I don't think it has been done yet.

But it's way to early to talk about this. Let's talk about Far Cry 2 first, when it's released we can talk about expansions or sequels.

i have a question... in Far Cry 2 we can see a massive quality of graphics... but the story is good as come Far Cry 1?

Im more worried about farcry 4 lol nah but Farcry was set on a tropical island and this one in the wilderness of Africa. If they could make a more urban enviroment (present day) would be cool as long as they could pull off the drastic change. Asia would be cool i think. A mix of urban with eastern decor and jungle would keep the game all varied. Imagine walking out of an eastern jungle into a town covered with lit lanterns and a creek with floating candles. Bustling eastern marke and the mixed sounds of the people and jungle.

our protagonist will be malcom(from mersyside) a well liked man in his native land until his trip to the isle of white (google it you fools)on a days trip to black gang chimes (bit like disney land if it had been after the atom bomb) he finds his wife bloodyed and beat laying motionless . after the ca-fuffle at the hospital were by he says to the local police he will find and hunt down the cold hearted perpertraitors .He then turns to the local populace to find the evil theme park attendant who battered her for not paying £1.99 for a 99 ice cream with thousands and hundreds with a flake and a dash of strawbery topping . Where by george must battle the harsh british climate with a new grafix effect of rainy fog with dashe,s of light (us brits call this sun but its barley heat and visable . i think you all lie about this phemominom and photo shop pictures so we come to you countrys on holidays)
whereby he finds out thru the blink video cut scene,s . it was infact a rogue ice cream van salesman named terry behind the plot so he then must battle the corrupt underworld of frozen lactose sellers , all ending in a mad max style ice-cream van chase scene .



boils down to running around the isle of white shooting things .
to those wanting animals ,well the varied sheep and cows will be interactive , but mainly run away

Ehh. I like the idea of it being in Africa again. But if you want somewhere entirely different how about Australia?

Northern Sweden/Norway/Finland would be quite awesome. Up in the mountains I mean. There's snow at the top of the mountains, a bit lower down it's big open spaces with just some rocks, a bit lower than that there's a few threes and then the vegetation thickens the lower you get, and there are hundreds of thousands of small lakes...ok that sucked, but watch some pictures or go there yourself, I think it's a very nice environment for a game.

i think it should still be based in a war torn state in Africa or in South Africa

i guess on planet would be kinda helpful.....u reakon in my oponion, rather than a island with lush green forests, or the African Desert style place i think a snowy place might be nice or we could have it actually in a city, might be a turn-around but its still worth it.
we could have it a secret covert thing but still FC2 came out while ago is still a good game i have it on PC and Xbox 360 and im almost finished on the PC 64% done....Xbox 360 on the other hand not so good so i say another 1 yr b4 Ubi shud worry about making it
