i hate games that you always have to run everywhere!
i.e going through a town trying to not get noticed, you wouldn't run through it!!

it would be cool to have your standard running, a walk toggle and then a sprint toggle!
i jsut think this will add more realism when trying to blend in!

I know what you mean, I like to be able to walk too. However, it's probably totally unnecessary other than it looks more natural in situations like the one you described. Another reason to have it would be if it doubled as sneaking (ie. you make less noise), but most games just have this as crouched movement now.

99% of players will gladly just run everywhere, it saves time and simplifies things. Nowadays, maybe because people have such limited attention spans, if you aren't running you're sprinting.

if your playing the game on a console you could just not push the analogue stick as hard.
