Hello.
I purchased the downloadable content for the new multiplayer maps.

And guess what?
Nobody plays them. There has never been a match with people to play it. I try hosting my own and nobody can/wants to join, and nobody else hosts it.


I feel like i've been robbed. Are we just supposed to move on or is there customer support who deals with stuff like this?

every once in a while someone will host a room and play the fortunes maps, generally tho you gotta get a bunch of people you know that have it to start a room with you.

but honestly what do you expect UBI to do? it really isnt their fault that most people dont want to pay for new maps in a game with a map editor so new maps are made and published probably every couple minutes.

at least u only spent 400 points on it, not like the people who spent 800 a few months back.
and it gives you the new weapons available in SP aswell.

What kind of customer support could there be? It clearly states in the Marketplace that there are no refunds for that item.

This is not a game issue, but rather a community issue. You should try to start up a DLC gaming night with the forum community to see if anyone else will join up. It can work, as we've been able to occasionally get some successful 4v4 games going.

It's a commercial product that i've purchased and i'm unhappy with it.

I'm not sure how many points it cost me, it was earlier in the year that I bought it.

Except these are commercial quality maps, that contain new things that aren't available in any of that home made stuff...

well like i said, the new weapons and vehicles are usable in the single player mode, and the only difference between the new maps, and a decent map makers maps is the waterfall in the background of last resort.

even if they did offer a refund window, you said you bought them earlier in the year, you would be outside of the standard 7-14 day window of most retail stores.

and if in fact it does state no refunds as skorpius says, than no matter how unhappy you are you are SOL.

ultimately there is no way UBI can remove the pack from your HD so why should they give you a refund and let you keep the product? if the maps were unplayable due to some technical error that made them not load you might have a case, but thats like saying "i cant get anyone to join my player matches to play my maps, i want my money back cus i cant play the maps i made"

you didnt research the map pack before you bought it, sorry but thats your own fault.

I did my research and knew I wanted it.

Forums and the internet are lame. I should know better than to expect support or sympathy of any kind, you people just thrive on throwing things back in people's faces.

No offense to Ubisoft's developers, but I've seen quite a few user-created maps that are MUCH better than the "professional" maps. Sure, the "pro" maps might have a few things you can't use in the map editor. But if you want creativity, variety, etc then check out some of the user-created maps.

I would never, ever, pay for new maps when you can get thousands of user-created maps for free. Especially considering that new vehicles & weapons in that DLC can only be used within those new maps, you can't use them on your own maps.

This is a perfect example of why you should do a little research before buying something. Had you asked around here on the forums prior to buying that DLC, you might have saved yourself a little bit of $$$.

again those vehicles can be used in single player.

i dont thrive on throwing anything in anyones face, and i have found plenty of support and help on here.

but to say, months after you buy something that you feel "robbed" because not everyone has the maps and can play them is kind of ridiculous.

personally i love playing CTD on sandblasted, but to start a room with that configuration would take me forever to fill the room cus not everyone likes that map. should i call UBI and complain that it takes forever to fill a room to play sandblasted on capture the diamond? no cus that has nothing to do with them.

you have been given good suggestions on here by myself and skorpius on how to try and wrangle some people and get a room going but because we arent holding your hand and saying "awww poor you, life is so hard, and damn that UBISOFT for not forcing everyone to buy their DLC and play it just for you..." we are lame and unsupportive..... interesting thought process...

anyway here are your 2 options, be patient convince your friends to buy the map pack/make friends with people who already have it, and play with them

or

chalk it up as a few dollars wasted and get on with your life, its not like you spent 50$ on a pack that ubi made with a million glitches and its unplayable.

either way, being all dramatic and whiny about how you got robbed probably wont get you anywhere in life, just a thought.....
