Ubisofts support of this game is disgraceful (especially for EU PS3) You get updates (very rarely) depending on were you live or what format you have. The Official site is never updated with any news, and no one official bothers to respond to questions on the forums. They have basically abandoned this game, and from now on, I will do the same for any future Ubi games.

I bet you'll buy Ubi games again.

I'm gonna get Assassin's Creed 2 later this year and probably Conviction too. Oh, and if they make FC3, I'm sure I will buy it.

Currently no, I won't, and I advise others likewise and inform them why. Shame too as I have quite the collection. This won't be the first company I do this with either.

I would buy Far Cry 3, assuming it was based on Far Cry 2 and not the original one.

I'll be getting(without a doubt) Conviction and Assassins creed 2. I probably won't be getting Farcry 3 unless they fix the MP.

Far Cry 2 has limited network play, so why buy a follow up that will do the same? Red Faction, Modern Warfare 2, Operation Flash Point 2, 1943 Iwo Jima. There are so many alternatives from reputable companies.

I personally like the game, I think most on here do as well and are just checking if there's any update on the update (silly I know).

But answer this, in your opinion, why do you think we are still waiting for a patch, and with no explanation by the devs. What do you put that down too?

If your honest there can only be one answer to that, and that's why people are angry, and they have every right to be after buying their product.

That's ok CIB24, I know lots of people moan, but with good reason.

I do care that Ubisoft don't support their customers or provide any meaningful feedback.

I only post here because I want action taken, and where better than the Ubisoft forum? I was happy enough playing Far Cry 2 online. I don't really care for single player, so the bugs don't effect me.

But as I've said til I'm blue in the face. The European PS3 users have been screwed, and the network play ruined.

If the CEO apologised, that'd be great. But considering in 2 months no one from Ubi has had the balls to come on here and even explain, I doubt that's going to happen.

Until then, I'm going to carry on making noise. As AndyLFC5 says, I have every right to complain and to be angry, I paid my money for the product they ruined. The squeeky wheel gets the oil eventually (i hope)

If ubisoft keeps the amazing things going on in themap editor and improve MP I will porbably have to give in and buy FC3.

The map editor,MP,vehicles,etc are what keep me coming back.

We will see I guess.

I Probably would, i loved Far Cry 2 at 1st but im starting to find myself changing my mind after agreeing with a few things people have said about the game, Far Cry 2s not a terrible game far from it, but there are things that have started to grow and annoy me to the point im shouting at my t.v screen!

I'm interested in the new Call of Juarez and Assassin's Creed games, but I'll wait to see how they play first. I really want to see how COJ stacks up against the upcoming Red Dead Revolver game.

One game that I am really interested in is the I am Alive game.

Or maybe we can demand higher standards from Ubisoft (like that'll ever happen) in regards of communicating with us? We're always being stonewalled by the community managers here because they don't know jack about anything more than we do regarding progress on a patch or game issues.
We need to cut out the middleman (All this forum needs are the moderators anyway) and demand to speak directly to developers, direct communication from us gamers to the dev team. I've seen plenty of other studios do this and it's time Ubisoft took up the mantle of proper public relations.
Heck there's a forum on Rainbow Six Vegas 2 that's been going on for over a year demanding this very same thing. Know what we've heard back since then? Nadda. Zip. Far Cry 2 is just hyped up garbage. It was far better on Instincts and they should've stuck to the same formulas.

I don't know about half of the people on these forums, or possibly more but I loved the first Far Cry despite how ridiculously unrealistic it was, Idk I just thought it was an amazing fast paced shooter, and I thought Far Cry 2 was awesome. Ok yes FC2 had problems, maybe too many problems but I loved the idea and the role you played in the game and I am extremely excited for FC3 because it's gonna be sick.

Being a big Far Cry series fan, I probably will have to. Unfortunately, Ubisoft made FC2 a game that retained none of the magic or aspects of some of previous games in the Far Cry franchise. I don't foresee it getting better w/ FC3, where they're rumored to bring it to the Antarctic.

Hopefully Crysis 2 turns out to be an open-world game like FC2 (and has better story elements than previous Crytek titles) so I can maybe have a reason to ditch the now Ubisoft-developed Far Cry series.

demand direct access to the dev team eh? honestly thats a great thought in theory, but with the number of whiny, immature and B***hy people that often swing by here and cry about this or that and have no constructive criticism.... i know if i was on the dev team id LOVE to be the guy answering those users...

people have to keep in mind that there are certain things UBI CANT talk about, or they dont WANT to talk about because someone will take a quote out of context and it could end up costing them money.

think about it, with the patch, would it have helped any if every week ubi posted the same 6 word message "we are still working on it..." would that have made the patch come any faster? or would people have done the same thing they did anyway? "WTF IS TAKING SO LONG?? ubi is horrible for not fixing this, I would have fixed it in 10 minutes and they are just holding off cus they suck and they are gonna drop the support of FC2 just watch blah blah blah....."

why is it that people feel like they are chained to this game? even tho they say its so flawed and a total waste of time and energy... i will never get that.

and to say the community managers "stonewall" us, that would imply that they know something to keep secret from us, when in most cases they probably as you said know nothing more than we do.

I know for me, (being in a customer service driven job) when people start DEMANDING things, and telling me how to do my job. I generally back burner them, just because u buy a product doesnt mean you can demand something or change the way the company is run. terrorists and hostage takers make DEMANDS. civilized people make requests, sometimes those requests can be met, other times they cant, when they cant sometimes you just need to accept it and move on.

in your opinion FC2 is "hyped up garbage" luckily for UBI opinions are like kidneys, most people have at least one.
