I just started this game (XBOX360), I'm going to backup my saved games very day via a kit I have to connect a x360 memory card to a PC where I take backups of my saved games ( yeah yeah I'm a system administrator, taking backups runs in my vains). Shame though one need to do this in order to smoothly play through a game, its 6 months out, thats 1/4 of its development cycle, jeez fix it guys.

In that case you need to wait for the new patch that is coming soon , unfortunately we don't have any time scale for this as we are only a technical support line , and not the developing or marketing one, but we are aware of the issue and the technicians are working on it

sevok, if youre using memory non-microsoft memory units like the ones you can buy fron play-asia, remember it will cause live-ban, if you use it for achievement boosting.

anyways, i found solution for farcry2 save-problem. i sold the it, no saveproblems anymore

Just wondering if this save issue is the same as the problem that I have been having.

Its not freezing during actual gameplay, only when I go to load a previously saved game. It freezes while loading. I have tried having 3 saves of the same game at the same time, but they all stuffed up on me and wont load.

Yes that is the save game issue we have all been dealing with for the passed several months.

Yep, and nearly 7 months down the line Ubisoft still haven't fixed it.

I thought my pc was playing up for a while there and was about to revert it back to factory settings to see if it helped.

Hope they fix the problem soon.

I think "soon" is a pretty relative term by this point.

I always complete all the side quests and such as I go. Hence, I had as much of the side quests and treasure hunts as I could, until I hit 62% and cannot make progress.

I am completed amazed that Ubisoft has so little to say and over so much time.
It's been months since a patch was anounced, and a month since someone said the issue was fixed...so where is it?

Anyway, I found ubisoft customer support phone number, which I plan to call and request a full refund. I do not want to be out $60 bucks for a game that does not work.

I bought Far Cry 2 in November. I'm not an avid gamer but I loved the Single Player campaign which I played through to completion with barely a hitch.

I started the campaign again recently, and visited this forum and was surprised by the number of people complaining about this major bug that hadn't been fixed after 6 months!

Lo and behold on 27% I went to get a mission from the UFLL and the door was closed... nobody home. Fortunately I had a previous save which meant I only lost one assassination mission.

Anyway, I have to agree with the general consensus. For this bug to be apparent almost straight after release and for a fix to still not be released is a disgrace. The kudos earned from creating a game I really enjoy has been lost by shoddy support.

I continue the game always wondering if it's going to break soon. Every mission is now tense... not because of the action but because I fear it may be the last!

I am one of those stuck at 73%, and the UFLL door is shut and won't open, even though the map says there is a mission. So, I went back to Mike's bar because the map also says there is a mission there. Now Mike's door won't open either! Apparently I have version 1.02 of this game because it auto-updated upon install. All my saves are very recent, except for one at the very end of Act I. Let me tell you, I spent too many hours to want to replay all that. I did the radio tower missions to get money for the good weapons, and the underground missions for the medicine, and the buddy missions (don't know the benefit for those!), as well as the faction missions to advance the gamem not to mention the fact that I may never find all those diamonds again! I DO NOT WANT to have to replay all that to see how the game ends. I see no reason why a utility to fix the saved game files cannot be released simultaneously with the patch that solves this problem. This is a gamestopper. This is a SERIOUS bug! Forget your hardcore mode for now, Ubi and set your priorities straight. If this problem is not solved to my satisfaction, I may never by another Ubi game again, and I have a feeling I am not alone in feeling this way.

6 months and the patch doesn't fix the save glitch? REALLY UBISOFT? REALLY?

Does ththe new patch "save game fix" only corrupted, unloadable, save games... or does it fix the game-breaking trigger-not-triggered bug that prevents us at a certain percent from going on because doors won't open for us?

Will you please add the edit kill score for single player , i really avoid the game now fro that.ITs frustrating when you count hundreds of kills on paper and then edit up whole thing because of small mistake

Without the kill score the singleplayer has no much value for me.The multiplayer sucks anyway simply because i disgust the die-kill-die-kill-kill-die-kill-die gameplay :P

Simple "kills" in the stats menu will do , but it would be cool to have some separate elements like "snipers" and such to be counted separate.This isnt vital however :P

Could be due to the 360 update, but I'm hard pressed to think my saves could be effected by an online update when MS disabled online functions for the entire day.
