 Enough pls... We had the discussion about OT on the last page. Using a single thread to keep people informed of his website updates, so long as the updates are relavent, is not spamming imho. Also I didnt really read that into the post you seem to refer to, but maybe that is because English isnt my native language either  .And yes I guess I did waiste my 500th post there  .@Jan: That did not bother me at all. I didnt want to say anything, but since I dont own a FC2 fan site I guess I'll chip and give my personal view - afterall its FREE
I have noticed a couple posts that you (jan) have been bumping some pretty oldish topics, which I (like Hanz) thought was a pretty obvious attempt to give your fansite more attention (Im sure by now you know Im the forum conspiracy theorist lol). Dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong in promoting your fansite, I just feel this type of 'promo-spam' is a poor way to do it. Visitors will return to your site as long as the content is up to date, informative and easy to find. For example: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1521068375/m/1231009246/p/1 For me, the thread above ran its course by March 25th, yet you posted again on April 5th with "I think the menu is better now", followed by "yay reached 4000 visits" on April 10th. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1521068375/m/8...081027946#2081027946 In this one you accidentally posted content that had already been mentioned - no harm in that (April 7th), but you then promo-spam the very next day in the same topic (when you could have edited your April 7th post). I think this is why Hanz and myself have thought you may be over doing it I will say that all fansites are valuable to the community - so keep up the good work to everyone running one. I'd also like to remind everyone that April 14th is only 3 days away  |
