It is always great to see the modding community spring up ready for the launch of Far Cry 2. As we get close to the launch date, there is bound to be plenty of information to keep everyone updated and excited about the game.
Just once question in regards to your site, are you planning on having a front end to the forums or just planning to keep it as it currently is?
There has to be editor/sdk, because games that are not having engine for modding are dead in a month or two after release....and Ubisoft dont want to spend so much money for nothing....
An SDK already exists, because without it they couldnt of made the game, even documenting the lua code would have been a must for the coders as good practice and part of the implementation/project management of all the features. Same applies to the model importers and exporters.
So the question is simply, will they put the small amount of effort in to make it a publically good quality SDK release. Of course its down to time and cost as they are a business and we need to appreciate that, but at the same time, attracting mods and modders will give them more of a return on their revenue to justify spending a week of so tidying up the contents.
