I really can not understand why anybody is interested in the Wii. When I first heard about it I honestly thought they were joking. The main thing that bothers me is the controller, it just makes me think they don't take console games seriously at all.

Developers have problems making and porting games to Wii, I don't think Wii would succeed.

If the games that come out are great of course I will consider buying it, but I still have problems with the controller. I bet you will never see a serious game like Forza Motorsport or Battlefield 2 on that console because you would have to make all these stupid motions to kill someone or drive the car around the track. Its just lame in my opinion, and I would feel like a Wii-tard doing it.

I don't think it's really meant for games like Forza. I think they are basing the controllers around the first-party games they they come out with, like mario, mario-kart, metriod prime, etc.

I agree with you, to a degree. I think it would screw up some of the games that aren't meant for the weird controller (third-party games, like Far Cry, Resident Evil, etc.), but, at the same time, it is a very unique idea that, if done right with the right games, could be absolutely amazing.


To solve this problem, I think the Wii should have a port to use the original GameCube controller for games that don't work on the Wii-mote, or whatever corny name they have for it that uses 'Wii' as part of a word.

It has been said that the Wii controller is perfect for an FPS because the controller will be more intuitive than a normal controller. It will be interesting to see how this is implemented.

Soon, Wii will let you talk to AI bots... just like their DS with nintendogs.
