Keeping close tabs on how many objects you've actually used can save a map, double checking for vanished brushes before a save can prevent it from happening.

List of maps: TW2 Prison Riot, Forsaken City*, Lunacy, Dawn of theDead, Volcano City, Canal Carnage, Pyramid of Pain.

I am i GRAVE DANGER! PLEASE try and help me! I just bought the game (I'm a bit late, yes...) and found the map editor very entertaining. I made a map of 5 islands connected. Then i raised some terrain, added some grass and houses. Then Weapons and vehicles. Then some bushes and trees to make it all looking great. Finally i put in my respawners and multiplayer items. FINALLY i saved the game and went to publish, and guess what: It was damaged.

I found that i can NEVER EVER "edit saved map". I it loads for maybe a second and i get "The disk you're using may be dirty or damaged". This happens with all maps i try and save.

I tried naming it A, then adding some stuff and naming it B: Both damaged. I tried to simply have the first small island and just 8 spawners, that didn't work either.

But i did find the place where the maps are saved: for me: E:\TDATA(and UDATA as well)\55530060

There are some folders there with names just as a lot of letters and numbers. Most of THOSE are the maps you've made. Even if I erase a map in the editor, i still have it in the list of multiplayer map management. So i go to UDATA and erase them.

I have NO IDEA why this is happening, but i am VERY disappointed with it. The editor is almost the reason i bought it, to make awesome maps to play splitscreen with my friends.

I have EvoX with modchip. Note: I used Xbcopy to copy the game to my HDD and play it from there, but it didn't turn out any better.

OH MY LORD I FIXED IT! And it was so simple! I will write a new topic about it.

Do like this: Save the map and publish it. Turn off your xbox and restart without game disc.

Use FTP (Simplest way is Internet explorer) to connect to xbox, best with xbox to router. Go to something like e:\UDATA\55530060. Here, there is one folder you don't touch. The others (you will see a content difference) will be for the published maps. They go there as soon as you publish.

Now go to e:\TDATA\55530060. Here are all your "final" maps placed, maybe when you download one. Copy the map folder from UDATA to either the folder "live..." or "syslink...". Now you can play it!!!
