This tutorial is meant for server administrators who want to give some spesific people more power on their server. It is related to last tutorial: 'Punkbuster Tutorial - Vote Kicking People Out' you can find here : http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/452106891/m/7831040853

So you as server administrator feel that you trust certain people more than the rest and want to give them more power what comes kicking people out. So that for example your clanmembers can kick somebody out alone or 3 trusted regulars on your can kick out somebody out.

I have to say that this is very easy.

Punkbuster player power system allows you to set player power that is based on his GUID. So there is no need for passwords - they just have more than 1 point of power.

Giving power can be done in 2 ways. First is maybe easier but it requires that player is online when you grant the power. Second requires you to edit pbpower.dat file with texteditor but can be done even if player is not playing on your server. I cover easier case here.

You need to have rcon or have access to game console when doing this. In this example I assume you are using rcon connection.

First you need again check punkbuster slot of player who you are going to grant the power. Give command:
pb_power

Here you still see that =KERPO= guys all have power of 1. It is shown in second column of listing.

I want to give all my clanmates power of 10, so that they can kick annoying people out of the server with single pb_kick command.

I do following:
\rcon pb_sv_power 1 10
\rcon pb_sv_power 5 10
\rcon pb_sv_power 7 10
\rcon pb_sv_power 8 10
\rcon pb_sv_power 9 10
\rcon pb_sv_power 16 10

In above you see that first argument is punkbuster slot number, and last argument is power you want to grant.

After this I double check that powers are granted correctly. I give again command:
pb_power

And (hopefully) get output:

OK. Now that you got yourself started I tell you how to add power when players are not in your server.

In your serverside punkbuster installation, there is file called 'pbpower.dat'. This file contains powerlevel of player by GUID. It is recommended that you add at least one player into that file with pb_sv_power command, and after that you can easily copy/paste more entires into there.

Format is very simple and once you open the file you should know what to do. Only problem is to collect the guids of all your friends.
