Have been playing fine for a month. My mic works in other games, chat, mrecording a message .
ENDWAR suddenly has gone DEAF and cannot Hear my commands.
Did not play ENDWAR for a couple of days, load up the disk, now ENDWAR can hear my commands in single play. Great! Now lets start playing "Theater of WAR" online .... ENDWAR goes deaf again and cannot "hear" commands. Go back to playing in single play and now it cannot hear commands also (again) And yet I can chat, message, etc. in other games fine.

I call it bored mic syndrom. This is where you do not use the mic on endwar for a period of 5 minutes. Win nothing is spoken into the mic for said period of time, the mic shuts off permanatly. The only way to FIX this is to restart the console. But to AVOID it you must take the headphones out of the controller up till right before the game-in the deployment screen. The other way is to just say BLAH or rub on the mic's reciever every minute or so.

A couple of times it also happened to me that I'm in a Xbox Live party, so the game doesn't pick any of the commands, you must be in the game channel in order to be able to give orders. If you're in the party the game just won't listen.

I've had this happen quite a bit in single-player, particularly when I try to give "move to" orders.

Oddly, it only happens on certain styles of maps, Brenner pass style being the common miscreant.
