Based on the console TOW wars thus far, JSF seems to rule supreme.
PS3 === EFEC: 1 SGB: 0 JSF: 1 Xbox360 ======= EFEC: 0 SGB: 0 JSF: 2 OVERALL ======= EFEC:1, meaning a score of 1:4 (wins:wars) SGB:0, meaning a score of 0:4 JSF:3, meaning a score of 3:4 Whatever the reasons may be for this - be it spiking, boosting and//or JSF side stronger overall - a game that clearly offers one side the victory will have long term player base problems. Nobody likes to be on the losing side all the time. An online game with a shrinking player base will have a short online life span. It seems that: - the EFEC units are weaker than they are fast - the SGB units are slower than they are strong - the JSF units are just too good all round A JSF novice has more chance of winning than an EFEC or SGB novice of equal skill due to unit characteristics. This is fine for keeping the US players online, which are the majority of players anyway, but they need to fight against someone in TOW. Without an even online player base, EndWar TOW has no future. Number of players per side makes no difference regarding these WWIII TOW results. Even when there are more JSF players, this does not increase the amount of battles fought in TOW. Even if Ubisoft starts/continues spiking the battle results to try change the WWIII score trend, the cause of the current WWIII score will remain. This message has been edited. This is actually the fourth war for the 360, EFEC won the first. I have on idea why we can't view it, but it happened.
Also I think the balance the JSF units have gives their commanders a steeper learning curve since they have to use different tactics for each faction. Europe and Russia have specialties so don't have to adjust strategies depending on which faction they face. While the JSF have to adjust and adapt depending on their opponent. This steeper learning curve was pretty evident in the 360 FirstWar, where the JSF ended up with a grand total of 0 territories, with Europe controlling all of America. |

I am curious: If they was a fourth war on the 360, why can't we view it? The EFEC and SGB learning curve is also pretty steep. Did you also play as SGB or EFEC? I play EFEC and I do have to adjust my tactics when playing against JSF or SGB. They have different advantages. Most especially: the JSF artillery range! Also the JSF units are faster, so that erodes the speed advantage EFEC uits enjoy against the SGB. JSF has a winning EndWar TOW streak even when allowing for a lot of very young novice players on the JSF side. This thread is not about if the JSF players are "better". I really don't care about that. What I do care about is that if the JSF continually wins the wars because of the best unit capability edge, EndWar eventually will have hardly any EFEC and SGB players left. That will effectively end TOW in the future. |

As Northern Sun said, the EFEC won the 1st war on XBOX360; so did the SGB on PS3. The War on PS3 was "stopped" because people where complaining about it being too long (70+ turns) and they gave it to the factions having the highest number of territories at that point. On the XBOX, I think, the victory conditions were changed at one point from "3 capitals OR (maybe AND, I don't remember well) 30 territories" to "2 capitals AND 30 territories" (Thanks Northern for correcting me). Both results were not well received by the losing sides for various good and not so good reasons. The controversy may be the reason why the score are not showed anymore, but we have no proof of that.
SGB controversy: Russians had territories not even connected to them!!! or CONGRATULATIONS RUSSIA EFEC "proof": EFEC Thread (read somewhere in the middle of the page - I can't find the controversy links at the moment) You can make another verification by yourself. Add all the turns from the wars that are being shown on the Theater of War website. Each turn representing a day, you will see that the "first" war on XBOX starts some time in December and the PS3 one in January. The game was released November 4th and the gap for each system is the war that doesn't show on the website. For your assumption and conclusion, you may be right. Only time will tell. On the 360 they changed it from "3 capitals and 30 territories" to "2 capitals and 30 territories". Europe satisfied the new conditions since they had both DC and Paris as well as >30 territories.
Like I said in my first post, I have no idea why we can't view them. |

He got his numbers from an official source (EndWar ToW Viewer). He is not to blame because the website doesn't show the very first war for both Xbox and PS3. |
