Originally posted by Nidole: An interesting fact I noticed within SGB players (since last war at least) is that we mainly focus on defending instead of attacking territories. Since you can conquer territories, let alone win a war, just by defending, I don't see how we are going to get out of that. And I think it's a reasonable explanation of the trend that Storm observed.
Quick examples to illustrate (numbers are wins for Russia): Turn 3 (of the current war): SGB attacking Pascagoula: 575 (out of 1430 battles) SGB attacking Ft Levski: 540 (1452) SGB defending Rondane: 1136 (2010)
Turn 4: SGB defending Grissom: 1414 (3323) SGB attacking Carpathia: 682 (1460) SGB attacking Ft Levski (Raid): 750 (1084)* *We won the Raid on Ft Levski but we don't get a territory for that, so it doesn't "matter". Assuming 200 of the 750 won battles were on Carpathia, we could have taken Carpathia and still win on Ft Levski. It's not a perfect example but you can get the idea ...
The percentages on Rondane and Sevastopol haven't changed too much for the past 2 or 3 hours (as far as I remember) and I am pretty sure they will be close to the same at the end of the turn.
You're missing the fact that if you add up all of those wins they are barely equal to one teritory defended by JSF like grissom. where they get like 4000 or 5000 wins.
Storm, ive been on pamlico like 50 times in the past week, and only lost about 7 matches, why are all the other JSF players unable to win at Pamlico, me and my mate find it easy to win, even with those pathetic europeans hiding behind air support like usual and not fighting like a fight should be fought
I think most of our players just dont know how to properly play that map. Some people dont know they key is not letting Europe take the lima, yankee, delta area. I've seen people rush for delta, stop there then try to push to the middle....bad results...

We're waiting for a good strategy guide with images and arrows on the JSF Forums @ www.endwarboards.com

It'd be nice if we could attack Wilstermarsch... then RAID Ramstein, take Ramstein, then RAID Le Ceito Army Base.
Rather than be stuck fighting at either Pamlico or Grissom.

euro's are not ment to be a stand off fight, they units don't have the defense, they have speed, and some power. not much... but if battles start euro's are finished.. conquest is what euros do best... and thats a fact...

Very True Murda. the only part that I see evolving is the no games for eastern time zone people on EFEC maps wait all night for one. They just need to fix the broken team matching system but you get tired of repeating it whats the use of 40 people sitting in a room by themselves waiting to play???
