How do I get planes available for Full Mission editor?

I created a misssion in the "full mission editor" offline, but no planes are available when I go to fly. The instruction booklet that came with the Gold Pack isn't the greatest, but I obviously missed something along the way. Any help is appreciated.

You have to select one of the planes as "player aircraft"
* Open the mission in FMB and left click on a waypoint of the flight you will be flying in.
* At the top of the screen, click on "view" and then "object" in the drop down list.
* You will now have a window with the aircraft in it. Click the tab for "plane1" and in that window, put a check in the box for player aircraft.

also in the objects/Properties for the planes you want the A/i to use check the a/i box at the bottom. (the properties for the plane you want to fly must be unchecked for a/i)
