I have one, it is enabled outside of the game, and exists outside of it. There is no direct interatction as each key on the n52 is bound thru the common keyboard configs. I havent been able to try it yet because my game crashes at the load picture...trying to reinstall...I hate crapshoot games.

Are you sure you are familiar with how to use the N52 Gamepad? For each game you play, you should probably configure a profile using the editor software. Open the loadout manager, then open the profile editor. Set the buttons appropriately and Save the profile as something like FarCry. Close the profile editor and return to the loadout manager. Click the File menu item then click New. Name the new loadout something like FarCry. Load a profile and then Browse for the game executable wherever you installed it (FarCry.exe). Save the loadout.
Now, to make things easier when starting various games, set the loadout manager options to use Automatic Mode. Not sure where that is located but it will be in the menu options somewhere.
For more general information, I suggest you Read the User's Guide.

I use the N52 game pad. wadegiles is correct that you can program the gamepad and save the profile and have it start FarCry for you. On the other hand, you can ignore all of that and just use the default configuration (mapped like the upper left hand of your regular keyboard. TAB,Q,W,E,R,T, etc). Instead of using N52 software to change these keys, just use them as default and then go to the FarCry keyboard setup and map the functions to the existing keys. A good way to test the N52 pad is to open up Notepad and press the keys. It will type whatever key you pushed into the document.
At first, I didn't think that this pad would be good. The kid at the BestBuy store swore by it. I took a chance and bought it. I love it. Although I use the default keys to play FPS games, I have since "used the manual" to create and save different configurations for other applications. For instance, I get TV on my computer. I mapped the N52 keypad to control the TV. At night, I drag the N52 pad over by my bed and use it as a remote-control for my TV. (Ok, off topic....., I'll stop).
Anyway, don't program the pad, use it on default settings and make the keyboard settings INSIDE FarCry. (map FarCry to the Pad instead of mapping Pad to match FarCry)
Hope this helps,

Has anyone had any success running macros from the N52 in Far Cry?
I can run text macros with it, but movement macros do not seem to work.

Hey,
__I use both the N50 &the N52 for my gaming with FARCRY. i use the N50 for FFA/TDM style gaming and the N52 for the ASSAULT. As for setting up the macros, I have experimented with that and it can be done. But to use either one of these controllers, you have to install the software and have it running in your Tray next to the clock for it to work.
1-install all the software.
2-Setup and experimwnt with different keypad setings.
3-Setup profiles for each game that yyou want to play.
4-Setup the LoadOut Manager to run the preferred prffiles depending on what game you will be plaing.
___I have had great success with these controllers, mainly because I never learned to use the keyboard. I basiclly only play two online games right now, FARCRY and BF2. The N52 really works well there in the BF2 arena because of all the extra buttons on the controller making it almost lmitless as to what you can set it up to do.
___Send me an e-mail and I can send you my basic profiles for you to load and see if they work well for you.
