Hi,

Do you think lomac can do shadows on mountains done by other mountains?

Yes, LOMAC also has this technology, it's used more subtly (lighter shadows). Still it immediately caught my eye when I first saw it some months ago, it's so important for making convincing landscape-graphics.

Not too obvious here as it's 12:00

Can be seen in the top-left corner here:

A good example although the time of day isn't ideal either:

It probably just does vanilla shading. I wouldn't imagine the terrain has self shadowing.

not all the screenshots are from the latest build... the terrain CAN cast shadows on itself in lo-mac

that's a FANTASTIC screenshot of fs2004... lots o' eye candy.

I agree. Of all the screens they have posted here on the official site that one is one of best ones IMHO. The last one is nice aswell, if only the mip-mapping was turned off and the river had a reflective surface... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Good find about the terrain-selfshadowing in Lock On. I'm still wondering if that's really the case; some images where this could be seen better would be welcome. But it seems to be in judging by those above.

And I was just wondering recently, after seeing those FS2004 shots, if we could have this in Lock On /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
