Maybe it is Maybe it is not....

If it is a shout out to the developers of Fly!
Then mad props! That's a super cool way to show
respect to a fellow group of developers!!

The project is really looking good! One question that developed from reading the Gamespot review...

It seem to be hinting that some Military facilities might have in place Air Defense Batteries in default locations.

That would be great for mission builders to have default
AD using the Russian /Ukraine Air Defense Doctrine.

Again I could be reading way too much into the Article..
Thanks team this project looks hot of the Stove!

Fly! On Fly! On.....

Actually, the interface was not influenced directly by any other product. Several of us were involved in the design of the interface. We wanted more buttnos and less menu pull down required. We also wanted to make it easy to go between menu screens similiar to going back and forward to webpages.

I've only seen Fly! a couple times and do not recall much about the interface.

There is the ability to put down a SAM complex using the Mission Editor.

What does the slang "props" mean? I keep seeing this and have no idea what the hell it means.

Cheers,
Carl

Ahhh thanks Carl... I was looking more at the Fly button
more so then then UI itself. The font used on the Fly!
button looks much like the fly box art.

The UI looks great... You guys did great work there!

As for the slang "props"

It means giving your peers or someone their PROPER Respect.
So mad Props! to you sir!!!

Is the something new. I have only noticed it these past few months. Where did it originate?

Cheers,
Carl

Many thanks for the kind words Sir!!

Well in the African American Community "Props" has been around for a long time... I would say it became mainstream
some where in the 90's with the help of ESPN and MTV.

Fighter Pilots often use the word "Step" to indicate that
they are about to go out to the jet and fly...
Example: Okay Fury 1-1 this briefing is over. we step at 13:00.

Well Step is a big slang word that is used in the same way.
Example: " Damn I gotta Jet... I was suppose to step to my girl's crib by one-o-clock! LOL!! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Like so many English words. their origin is just as colorful and diverse as the people that use them.

Most people don't embrace slang because they see it as a
bad thing. Some see it as people lacking education. But
really slang is nothing more then a form of brevity coding.

Check this link out, it talks all about it

Peace!
