Why does it not save itself whenever I adjust the input? If the game is shutdown and restarted the default controls are back??????????????

I believe you just need to make your changes,
then switch to the difficulty options and click Save.
It saves all the options changes.

If you have an X45, make sure in the input selection that you can select X45 USB. If it just says X45 then your drivers for the joystick or the programming software is not installed correctly.
Reinstall and make it say X45 USB in the input selection menu

The main switch for saving ALL settings changes appears
to be in the Difficulty section. Don't know why...but it
works.
