http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif I'm having issues with the sound cutting out...everything will be fine then all of a sudden, there is a crackling and then an ascending whine...then nothing. If I try to reload the previous savegame, still no sound. If i exit the game then restart it will do the same thing within seconds of starting play. I've got a Creative Audigy LS sound card.
System specs:
Athlon 2400+
512MB RAM
NVIDIA 5900
AUDIGY LS

I have the exact same problem with my Audigy LS. The newest driver etc doesn't fix it at all. I have no problems with EAX 2.0 in new games like Max Payne 2 - only Far Cry. It's a problem ubisoft HAVE to solve in the next patch !

I get a little crackling sometimes too.
not just this game either.
I have an Audigy 2
There's a spot I found in the archive level of Farcry where the error always occurs. In the room with that beautiful blue frosted over crystalized glass chamber that you have to drop into. My frame rate takes a hit there too. I dunno what they're using to make that glass box glow like that but it's some wicked voodoo for sure.

I was playing the level where you find val, and my sound got all screwed up. I could barely hear my weapons, sometimes never. I couldn't hear stuff I shot either or footsteps. I also noticed a strange problem with the mercenaries. They would SLIDE around (not walk) and their arms would be stretched out, as if they where twirling around.
