Please post what this latest patch has done for you (Disaster, Disapointment, A start, or Godsent). Please elaborate on why you feel the way you do about the 1.4 patch.

Also, if you believe that perhaps it needs a bit more testing (more time, or not sure), then post that as well. Please elaborate on why it is not fair to judge so quickly if that is how you feel.

So far I seem to see half and half in this forum. Some people hate it, some people love it. It seems to go to the two extremes, and a few in the middle.

Whilst I admire your sentiments in that you are "just trying to get this game fixed".....why do we need another thread starting on this topic when there are already several going strong???

it would be more effective to keep all the discussion on the same topic in the one single thread...instead of all spread over half a dozen threads......but hey...that's just my opinion /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I just did it because a lot of the threads got hijacked into different things. That way, if someone goes to "whoa this patch is awesome!" and sees 20 people saying negative things, it is kind of like "false advertisement" /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I don't know, just thought I'd help try to consolidate the opinions of everyone since they're a bit scattered. Here they can post whether they like it, or not... and it would still be giving feedback under a title which boasts getting all opinions.

But nobody has to post if they don't want to.. I would understand...

Overall I had no compliants about this game except for the fps issue in single and multi.,my frames average between40-80(not trying to sound smug or anything)although they can dip into the 20's.Concidering my setup i think that's fair but the game does need some code/engine update or tweaking.

Never had the grenade or ladder bugs after the first patch, but the trigger lag was terrible, which after installing 1.4 seems to be gone and i have to admit multi seems to run way smoother now, quite happy with that.Raising the silencer d was right on,should never have been that low.

My only real gripe now is why couldn't they have given me the option to raise my primary weapon after throwing flash or nade.WHEN I FLASH A ROOM I WANT TO GET IN THEIR RIGHT AWAY!not fumble with hitting the prime key untill i can see my weapon come up.Also multiple attachments would be good and realistic, plus i think if you were to ask real Rainbow's they would want flashlights(pervided u could turn them on/off).

If UBI can get there act together(fps, godlike enemy AI/accuracy) which they seem to be doing...slowly,this game,i think is the best tactical,FPS on the market right now.

HMMM... it's a start. None of the technical issues/bugs really affected me. I play in low ping (31) servers and I don't experience any trigger lag so I have no idea what they've done with the netcode. Also, I noticed in the patch change list that grenade/weapon switching has been automated - this is entirely untrue. I am more concerned with gameplay changes (yeah, enhancing "realism" and gameplay!!) which I haven't seen in ANY of ubi's patches. So I guess the patch is alright... at least it does SOMETHING, right?

I never or rarely had the problems it dealt with to begin with so I'm just glad more people can play bug free now too.

Shards_of_alt..I have posted a reply about the frag to weapon switch in another thread where you have mentioned this......here is the link /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/messages/message_view-topic.asp?name=us_ravenshield_gd&id=zskor.

The weapon switch is only after your last frag is thrown and not after every frag.......this is precisely as they detailed in the pre-release info and the release notes /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

It would probably make more sense to post on one post... I can only imagine what the Ubi peeps are trying to read... I wouldn't be able to see anything but a bunch of spagetti if it was me!

Anyways, this is a good general post people can post on... so that way everything is not totally scattered on the board. But then again, I really don't mind if they didn't. It's just for consolidation sakes...

Because I never really experienced any of the bugs they supposedly fixed in 1.4, the big thing for me was the supressor enhancements, which is a godsend. I get annoyed seeing everyone and their mother carrying an SA80 + c-mag, so I look forward to seeing some variation out there, now that the supressor is a viable option.
