Hey, I have a few question about fps and monitors.
First of all, I am sure there is no real answer for this but how much fps is enough fps?
Course theres the whole a human can only see blah blah thing, as always more fps will help. In general how much is enough? I usually get 30-60 in 1280 x 768 and under, and 80-110 ish in 800x600. The times when I get down to 30 are in smoke, sometimes into the teens if there is alot of smoke around. Is 60 average enough FPS where I dont have to worry about *lagging* or loading fast enough to see the guy on my screen? I dont want to be shot simply because my fps was too low to load the guy fast enough.
Monitors, whats a good refresh rate for todays monitors?
Mine 17" at 1152x864 and 1280x768 go to 75hertz,1280x1024 stops at 60.
Any help would be great, thanks.
