Subject: Throw flash and equip weapon instead of another flash.

Is it possible to do so ?

I finds it VERY annoying that i have to throw a flash, equip another flash just to put it back and equip my primary weapon. GRRRR!!!

What I wanna do is to simply just equip a flash, walk to the entrance, throw it and equip my primary,...

Any EquipPrimaryAfterThrown feature that i missed somewhere??

happy birthday man, sorry I don't have the answer to your problem though...but I do think its a legitamate concern, they should include an option in a patch to allow you to equip primary after throwing frags, flashes, tear gas, etc. (although its mostly needed with flashes as you have a very brief amount of time to take advantage of a flashbang)

Thats the way it used to be way back when. You'd press primary after throwing and it would switch back without readying another nade. Why they changed it ... who knows.

Maybe when the SDK is released this will be fixed.

Its fine the way it is. The sound of switching to primary is very different than the sound of readying a grenade. It's part of the game balancing guys...

but why ready another flash when you have just thrown one ??
at that moment you have no time to fumble and that is just what happens.

they should return it to where it was before:

equip flash, press fire, press key1, release fire: throw flash and equip weapon.

When was that? I'v been playing this game since day 1 of the demo release. It never auto-switched.

It never auto-switched but it was possible to switch back to promary straight away without the next nade showing up in ur hand.

It would please everybody to make it an OPTION to be able to switch to primary...hitting 1 before releasing trigger seems reasonable...this way, after you throw your nade/flash, you have the option of equiping another, or equiping your primary...(this is very important for flashes as you really need to act quickly after its thrown)

Well, right now because you equipe another frag right after tossing one, we're able to frag spam someone out of camping spots.

If they made it so that every time we threw a frag our gun would come up, it would be far easier to use frags or flashbangs as they were intended. We wouldn't be able to spam frags because we'd have to again go back to frags from guns, but we'd be able to fish campers out with a frag and then rush in guns blazing. I'd like that better.

For the same reason we aren't able to pick up a weapon from the ground, it would be more realistic for us to be unable to chase people down with 6 frags.

hmmm, maybe this feature were in another game,.. could it be SOF2 ?

I seriously remember that feature where you could change to a weapon while holding down fire of throw of a flash/gren, and releasing (throwing) would change to weapon instead of another useless flash/gren,..

Anyways: RedStorm, could you please add this feature into the game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ok heres how it was, and once and for all is the best way to do it.

Change to flashbang, throw flashbang, press primary directly after throwing and you go to your primary weapon. (or whatever weapon you want.)

Dont press anything and you draw another of your currently selected kit item. This is the way it was, and should be again.
