Please tell me i made a good choice.. ive never had an ATi so i dont know what to expect. 130 from overclockers (i know, it was a rip-off)

Did i make the right choice?

indeed you did. although i have the same card so i guess i'm being biased.

download the latest catalyst driver from ati.com and you're all set

i'd get at least 256mb more, but that's just me...i noticed a better performance out of my card when i upped my RAM to 768mb...i might get more since Far Cry is such a hog.

good choice man, very good choice. You wont be disappointed by its performance. The 9800 pro is a very good card. Get the latest catalyst (or omega, I use omega) drivers for optimal performance.

On the subject, how do i find out what catalyst drivers i have. eg 3.9 or 4.4 etc..
