60Hz in winXP ???

Please can someone tell me how to play FB in
1024x768/85Hz.

I set up under windows screen resolution to 1024x768/85Hz
but when launching the FB it reverts to 60Hz

winXP profesional
GF3 Gainward 64 DDR
AMD 1.7
512 ddr RAM

Make sure your desktop is set to the same resolution you are going to be playing the game in.

If that doesn't work make sure you have all the latest drivers and windows updates.

You could try REFRESHLOCK. Can't remember the site address, but if you search in Yahoo or Google you'll find it ok. It's free. Just set the refresh rate you want and run it before you start the game.

I have heard that Win XP AND 2K will not allow a refresh rate on IL2 FB over 60 Hz without third party software. Is this correct?

Service Pack 1 was supposed to fix that issue.

Depending on what kind of GFX card you have, I know the latest NVIDIA drivers have a refresh rate you can set manually for different resolutions.
