ao far it isn't possible and AFAIK there is no plans to develop it.
You can make a server and let the hopst join as a spectator. If you worry about the perfomance then let the host look at a static ovject or the sky.

My guess is the map view (F-10) should be the least performance-intensive. No 3D graphics there.
