Punkbuster is annoying me badly!

Hi all

I really enjoy playing on the net, but farcry's punkbuster keeps telling me the error PB_INIT_FAILURE(or something like it)

Has anyone else had this problem?

How do you solve it? Do I need to download something?

I get the same thing sometimes. I turned off Punkbuster, for what it's worth.

I never had a problem. That is, until last night. Then I got that very same error several times. Maybe it was just a glitch in the matrix. Or sunspots.

Or Punkbuster going tits up. Maybe some kind of netcode decay--an electronic version of e-bola and next week it will crack and bleed out and be gone and we won't have to worry about it anymore.

A lot of peeps are having the same problem if you search through some of these threads you may find a fix for your particular machine/spec i say particular because on some set ups its just a simple tweak of the firewall settings (zonealarm specificly) and on others re installing 1.1 patch helped. One fix that is not mentioned a lot is if you play single player re-boot your PC BEFORE playing multi player hope this helps
