It's very difficult the find a game that I can join...usually when i try to join a game i either get connection failed, or it freezes and kicks me back out to the main menu...and when i do get in a game it freezes or locks up momentairly, or kicks me back out to the main menu...even on the campaign it sometimes says "dirty disk error" and/or locks up.
I have never had this problem with ANY other game or the original R63 for that matter..

I have not had this problem....
Maybe there is something else going on...Maybe you are lagging the game so the host is booting you before you get loaded up all the way....

no.
Like i said this happens to NO other game, so y would i lag just this game??
and i'm not getting kicked, its just locking up and going back to the main menu, or freezing, or it says dirty disc error. also this has happened to almost every game i try to join.

Is it possible the disk is defective or even the xbox. I had one of the original xbox's and it would play new games, but it would play old games just fine. It was odd. Not saying you have the same problem as me but maybe the disk...yeah thats it a disk problem...I am sticking to that answer. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif

This has happened to me about 20% of the times I have tried to join a game as well, even when I wait to determine what my connection speed is before joining. Most of the time when it happens, I get a screen that is part of the map just frozen.

this sounds almost exactly like the problem I was having (check my post I think it is on page 2). after about an hour of screwing around with it you should be able to play without any more problems. at least that is what happens to me. I dont think its the disk or the xbox since ive tried my roomates disk and the same thing happens. I also dont think it is the box, the modem ot the router since all my other live games and laptop work fine. i think it is a problem that sould be fixed by the ubi people, that is what they told me when I contacted xbox live support. According to them we are not alone with this problem.

This happens to me too, unfortunately. I try and join my friends in a game, and I either get a connection failed message OR I hear a moment of sound while loading, then my communicator starts buzzing and I eventually get kicked back to the main game menu.
As far as I know, the only way to get into a room where this is happening is to join while the game is in the lobby. So I usually send out a message to someone in the room telling them to invite me once the round ends.
Brotha S... hoping for a patch to this soon
