Target objective question

In the FMB, in the pull down menu, there is one that says TARGET. What the heck do I do with it? If I highlight it (and chose an option like Ground Destroy or whatever) and then click on a placed object (the one I want as primary target to be destroyed) it just switches over to what that object is but doesn't do anything to it.

Any clues for the clueless would be appreciated.

The "Target" portion is used to determine what type of mission your trying to create. You set the target by using "cntrl + left mouse button". You also select the amout of damage you wish to sustain. You also select which side the mission applies.

Just clicking on the object without using the cntrl key, will just highlight that indivdual object.

In the game when the objective has been obtained, the Red or Blue win message should appear.
