problems with unlocking hero's

I have been playing ghost recon for xbox for a couple of weeks now, I have done every objective including the "x" objectives for every level in both campiegn and quick mission mode and can not unlock any new players. I have even done it on different dificulties. Deos anyone know why this is? if I use the invincibilaty code will that make a difference? someone please help me, thanks.

go to the dossier and it tells you exactly what to do to unlock all cahrachters and follow them all to become a gereral.

yeah Iknow but I do exactly what it says, I complete the special objective which is the "X" objective and it still don't work.

then your not following exactly what it says, sometimes you have to have it on recon, or firefight on a quickmatch on veteran or elite. Something your not following to a "T". Follow exactly what it says in the DOSSIER, not the mission objectives.

Ninja is correct in that you must follow the letter of the law to unlock the new stuff, people, new weapons, etc.

Remember that even if you get a new character and then you get them killed, they are no longer available for the remainder of the mission set.

actually I figured it out. I was using the "Invinvibility cheat" and you can't unlock any thing if you use that. thanx any way though.
