As I was saying, there are major technical improvements -for instance the addition of animated layers, and object interaction. But Obsidian is a quicktime 3 game, and I was sort of expecting more of this latest incarnation of myst.... I really hope there is going to be more goodies in the 'real' game, for example, if I see a bookshelf I want to actually read the books I see. If there is a dresser drawer, I want to snoop around and see Katherine's undies.... that sort of thing. It is the same kind of thing that is currently making those 'reality shows' on TV so interesting to so many people. In the demo, there are *so many* things the 'magic hand' does not respond to.... I can understand that in a demo, but if I get a game that is packed onto *four DVD's* and still have places I can't go to or snoop around in, I will be disappointed.
On another note, I really don't like that disembodied hand floating all around the screen... it reminds me of "Thing" in the "Addams Family", only he was limited to coming out of a box... please give me the option of a simple pointer...
On a more positive note, the Music sounds fantastic - this is another CD I will be getting. I am really pi**ed that everyone in the world but the USA will be able to get the soundtrack along with the game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
I am playing the 200 MB version of the demo - when will the 600 MB version be available??
