Update from 1.1 to 1.2 version original IL2 ??

Hey all ! I bought IL2 last year (the original game), that was the 1.1 version. I have now the DSL and to play multyplayer i have to upgrade to 1.2 version. That's what i've attempted to do. I downloaded the patch, but it's just a zip file. So i unpacked it and ran the game... but nothing happened, it still shows version 1.1 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif Also, when i try to play on ubi.com game and that i start a game, i get an error message as i hold the 1.1 version and the servor the 1.2 version. Then i tried again with the 1.2ov version, but it's the same problem. I unpacked it at the right folder. Is there any patch for the IL2.exe ??? or maybe as i hold a french version, should i get a special patch for it ?? If somebody could light my problem... Thanks Anyway
