1.when you have someone as a human sheild and another guard is pointing a gun at you, and you figure out you have to reload.....but you can't in human sheild mode,
2. when 3 guys with shot guns are shooting at you, and you have to reload your rifle, and you get killed in less than 3 shots
3.when it's pitch black and you shoot at somebody and you miss, they start firing at you.....and its PITCH BLACK PEOPLE!!
what about you?

Well, dying in 3 shots isn't all that bad. They tried to make it realistic.
Not being able to reload in human shield mode is tough luck. But thing about it, do you think if you have to reload the gun that you are threatening the guy with that he won't try something? Also, how do you plan on having two hands to do it if one is around his neck?
I do agree with the dark thing. If you take a shot and you miss or don't kill the guy then all of a sudden every guard knows the EXACT position where you are turns around at light speed and opens up fire immediately. No, they don't look for you, they just all know. I didn't like that.
I hated the linear missions. More open based would have been better. More than one way to beat the mission, etc. That would have added more replay.

The only thing I really hated about SC, was that Sam Fisher - former navy SEAL and hand to hand combat expert - couldn't manage anything more than an elbow to the head, regardless of the situation. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not to mention that he could barely hit something with his pistol even if it was only ten feet away. So much for ex navy seal. Maybe his eyesight is going bad....old people...

Well, there is a thin line between the likes or realism or not. For instance, you grab a guy and he cries like a girl being just 10 ft from other guard, whom doesn't even look. Althoug I loved that game, and still play it from time to time, I think that a *little* auto aim when pointing 5⺠outside the soon-to-be-dead guy would be extra nice. When having to shoot more than one guy from the dark was a pain in the butt, for they will place a bullet in your skull before you can aim at the other guy (supposing that you got the first one quickly enough!)

The only two things that annoyed me where Sam's voice was too quiet and having completed the game there were no secrets to unlock, but thats what playing MGS does to you! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

another bad point is that the lights on your night vision goggles and the one on your back must be slightly recognisible in the dark,it would slightly give you away when your only a couple of feet away from the guard, but they dont seem to notice the light.

well, Neb, if you shoot and don't kill the guy, you go side-by-side, and the dude atill knows your there...plus, if you go and hide behind something, he goes running at you.

too much reliance on stealth, there was no changes throughout the game, the missions were way too linear, nowhere near enough guns.....a 1 trick pony..........saying that as for pure stealth game SC is the best {although its not my genre}........thief3 could topple it though.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

splintercell could of done with some special moves to the guards, like break their necks or something a bit like on rogue ops where you can enter a combination and then she does a better move than a basic elbow to the neck, something like throwing them over your shoulder or twisting their arm around their back and then hitting them so are knocked out something decent.

1. No blood from a headshot, which was in the PC and Xbox versions...what gives people??
2. Being shot in the #### during a split-jump in the PITCH BLACK
3. Not being able to reload while taking hostages
4. Not long enough
5. 99% of the time when you throw a bottle the guard goes to where it came from not where it landed.
6. Not being able to hide bodies in more "creative" places- lockers, beds, closets...you get the idea...

true, but i still guess it would pretty cool having some more violence, blood doesnt even come out of the bodies once they have been shot, i thought they could of made it a little bit realistic

1.when you have someone as a human sheild and another guard is pointing a gun at you, and you figure out you have to reload.....but you can't in human sheild mode,
i dont see how this is a BAD thing. if you have one arm round the guys neck, and another with a gun in your hand HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO RELOAD?!?!
its called realism
2. when 3 guys with shot guns are shooting at you, and you have to reload your rifle, and you get killed in less than 3 shots
when surly ONE shotgun hit would kill you, right?
3.when it's pitch black and you shoot at somebody and you miss, they start firing at you.....and its PITCH BLACK PEOPLE!!
two words: muzzle flash
what about you?
and coxeby, the lights on Fisher's goggles and back are pointers to tell where you are in the dark
the enemy cant see you, and Ubi said it was more of a symbollic thing, like with Batman's "light in the sky"
Fisher has "three green lights in triangle formation" as his symbol, so when you see "three green lights in a triangle formation" you think "ah, Sam Fisher"
not "ah, Jurrassic Park"

S7N, I understand muzzle flash, but thing, if the guy was facing backwards, away from you, you fire a silenced weapon, and all of a sudden he turns around and knows your EXACT position and all of his shots hit you. That isn't realistic.

yeah...I was playing the CIA level a few hours ago, in the first hallway on the right with the storage where the guy goes back and forth...I turned the lights off and hid in there. I couldn't even see him walk in and start shooting the crap out of me...THAT is unrealistic.

i never had that
if i shot someone in the dark and they werent facing me, they didnt notice
if i fired a grenade through the launcher, however, no matter if i was in cover or not, they ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS knew where i was!
THAT was a complaint i had!

In one trailer I saw sam turning lights off and start shooting at bad gays who couldnâ´t see him. I never had that experience. They allways knew where I am after one shot.

Splinter Cell is stealth-reliant, not a shooter.
"Your gun should ALWAYS be a last resort. Invisibility is your best weapon." - Lambert
If a guard starts shooting at you, your already screwed. That's how it would be in real life, and that's how it is in the game.
I didn't like only a few minor annoyances here and there:
1. While holding a body over your shoulders, you couldn't open a door. You had to put him down, open the door, pick him up again, and continue on your way. Before I started playing levels w/0 KOs, it was highly annoying.
2. You could't use your keyboard number keys to punch in the code on a keypad. I hated having to click all the buttons - sometimes you'd need like a 6-digit code!
3. Fisher always opened a door like he was in a hurry. If I ever opened a door like that, every family member in my house would hear it. Door Peeking first never was really much better, since he still opened it afterwards way too fast and loud.
That's basically it. The low accuracy is understandable, because if Sam was Billy the Kid with his FN7, we'd never need to sneak up on a guy because it'd be easier to just shoot him.
Fisher's guns DO have a silencer and a flashback suppressor - his guns don't have any muzzle flash. I thought you'd know that, S7N :P
If someone threw a bottle past YOU, would you walk up to the glass shards and stare at them for 5 minutes, or would you look around and try to figure out where it came from?

Transient... I agree that Sam walking up and down stairs was less than realistic, but it was a lot better than watching Raiden in MGS2 have to step on each and every step going up and down, regardless of how fast you're moving. You'd think a guy in a hurry would be skipping a couple steps at least in each direction. Especially from someone who can accomplish a backflip over a handrail and dropdown into a fingerhang from the catwalk to avoid the baddies. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

My only real complaint..the predictability of the guys. You can always depend on them to react the same way every time. It would have made it more challenging if how they reacted to a thrown bottle or other distraction was more random instead of them always doing the same thing. Reminds me a little of Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. The little glitches I don't worry about too much.
