we know that the Xbox and PS2 are going to be able to use the headset to communicate with teammates but does anyone know how they are going to do this for the PC. Will we have to type to each other with the keyboard? I really wouldnt want to use RogerWilco or Teamspeak. Does anyone know how people will chat with each other on the PC?

A question I have is, if you don't have headsets and you're playing it on PC, can you simply chat a taunt to a merc in your arms? Would be nice. I'm not playing PT-MP wearing a headset all the time.

i wouldn't be surprized if PC got key binded taunts. press 1 to 2 keys and your characters says something...

first of all, i dont know what ventrilo is. and second of all, does that mean the game is configured somehow to enable headset without programs like rogerwilco and teamspeak?

Ventrilo is a very effective voice comms program:

Download it from this site (http://www.ventrilo.com/)

It runs in the background, using up very few system resources. You'd need either to set up a server or use somebody else's as a client.

We use it in combat sim squadron flying.

Servers can be set up with separate channels (or "rooms") so that, in a PT MP game, spies and mercs could each have their own chanel.

I guess there will be support for some roger wilco. But I actually prefer messaging, I don't know why...

I can understand that. In a game as confrontational as PT MP the taunting could quickly get out of hand when carried out over voice comms.

I'm looking forward to playing the game in MP but only with people who can compliment their aggression with civility.

yep a mic will be enough :-)

And you really need two merc's or spy's to finish, so you have to comunicate to finish a mission. And ofcourse a mic is the easiest way.

you wont need roger wilco or any of that stuff. i heard that it'll be running like counter-strikes voice system and there u wont need a program it willsimply be inoperated in the game.

I read somewhere and noticed in videos that you can hear an enemy talking to his teamate if close enough and can also jam communications.

If correct, I hope that people would not use other voice programs.
